Getting the Slammed K5 Blazer Body Ready for Paint!!! | RC Body Work

Sand sand and more sand. I'm ready to spray some color on this body for my "Bagged" K5 Blazer build but we need to finish up getting it smooth and straight which means more body work and more sanding!!
First up was getting all the low spots filled in. There were a few on the body that are super small but I still wanted to fill them. But the main ones were around the bed cover. With me cutting so much on this body I had a few misaligned panels and things just didn't fit as well as I wanted so I needed to fix that.
After a few coats of primer and a lot of blocking out, we went with another coat of primer to water sand. Water sanding helps us to get a smoother finish and get rid of all of those sand scratches that would show up in the paint. I think I sanded all of my fingerprints off and got the body super smooth. Next up is paint!!

I would like to see the interior and chassis paint process. I know it can be tedious and not grab the big views but a record of the process is now there for everyone to refer back to.

Both videos will happen, just trying to figure out which is first haha. Tedious is an understatement for sure. There's probably 50 something individual pieces to paint for the chassis 😳😳

the amount of detail this thing is gonna have will be absolutely awesome. Cant wait to see it finished. Also in the finished product, are u gonna make some aluminum or carbon servo arms and links? Probably would be stronger if ur gonna drive it around at shows

Haha thanks! If I had the capabilities to cut carbon or aluminum accurately I would probably already have them made out of one of those. I've driven it around a bit and believe the arms are strong enough. The weak point had actually been the pivot points on the cross members but I believe I got those fixed
