Um, I think you're a little harsh on Vi there at the end. Jinx LITERALLY opened fire on both of her and Caitlyn, and it was only Ekko who saved them. Who would try to approach her after that when she's in that 'mood'?

btw, Silco wasn’t affected by the dirty air for a few reasons, first of all he and Vander used to work in the mines, where the air is the worst. Another reason is because he still spends a loooot of time down the lanes, with other people of the undercity - he doesn’t strive for moving higher, like Finn who wants to be on Piltovers “level”, above groung but Silco is proud to be from the undercity and his goal was always to make it better, independent - not a part of Piltover but the Nation of Zeon

Viktor’s “There is always a choice” right after defusing the grenade has two meanings: He’s saying that they have a choice of whether or not to make weapons, but he’s also referring to the bomb. You can see that for a second he considered not defusing the bomb. He debated just blowing up both of them so that weapons couldn’t be made, but he chose to defuse it. Also, Caitlyn could not go back by herself. The bombs on the bridge sent shrapnel into her leg. She couldn’t walk without Vi’s help. If Vi didn’t go with her, she couldn’t bring the crystal with her, and thus, it could very easily have fallen back into Silco’s hands.

I interpreted Viktor's line re the bomb as like, even in the face of an attack/aggression, there is still the choice of defusing the conflict rather than responding with fire.

you’re being a little too critical of vi imo. on one hand she didn’t know jinx was there in the first place. on the other, when she DID see her, jinx immediately fired on her with a machine gun. what was she supposed to do in that situation?

@@Moptop2 I think Arcane being only 2 seasons actually works in it's favor, compared to Attack on Titan. I had to stop watching AoT because it got so depressingly, oppressively dark, and never let up, that it started to affect my mental health. Arcane is also a tragic story, but it's more confined within a short story, so I know, for better or worse, a conclusion will be coming soon enough.

See, Mel's kinda right about designing weapons though. There are groups in the undercity that are hostile to Piltover, and they have the materials they need to build hextech weapons, which could be absolutely _devastating_ in conjunction with shimmer. Regardless of the course Piltover takes, that fact remains. So their choices at that point are to either assume that there are no hextech weapons being developed in the undercity and not develop their own to avoid escalation, or assume that there _is_ a threat and prepare accordingly. There is always a choice, as Viktor says, but the choice here is between a dangerous gamble and a safe bet. To make matters worse, there are lives on the line. The thing with weapons is that once the science has been cracked, it's usually just a matter of time before someone actually builds one. Fail to do the same, and you leave the door open to some very dangerous possibilities. Imagine for a moment if there was a worldwide effort to destroy all nuclear weapons where everyone followed through in good faith _except_ the Russians, who then revealed a few months later that they still had a few hundred intact missiles ready to fire. Without the threat of a counter-strike to deter them, what would stop the Russians from just holding every nation in the world hostage, or worse, freely using nuclear weapons to conquer other nations at will?

in regards to the ekko jinx fight, there was a deleted scene there that showed ekko after the events of episode 3 going to try and rescue powder from silco. but she turned him away she made her choice to join silco. plus you have to remember the firelights have been opposing silco and so ekko has probably fought jinx dozens of times. he more than likely gave her chances to do the right thing before but time and time again she has chosen to stay with silco. ekko has watched her become jinx and doesnt believe there is anything of the powder he knew left. so he made his choice to help those in need instead of "wasting" time on someone who doesnt want his help.

I dont blame Jayce for what he did go Heimer. Heimer's philosophy guarantees people like Viktor die. Hes been head for so long and the Under city has gotten worse and worse. Hell, he was blind to the blatant corruption going on while he sat at his musical. Heimer is a good guy with valid points, but hes far from perfect. Jayce is my fav tho so I'm biased

God! I’m SO glad someone else ranted about Vi tending to Caitlyn on the bridge when she should’ve been going to Jinx. She rather let Echo put himself in harms way and her sister to get beat on… all to help an enforcer whom shes barely known 2 days walk on her stupid twisted ankle. 🙄 It’s 1 of 2 scenes that I gripe about with this show so far. But, the saving grace is we wouldn’t have got that amazing Jinx-Echo moment. Still, can’t help but think how much crap would’ve been avoided had Vi just been a better sister. 🤷🏾‍♀️

jinx had literally just opened fire on her and caitlyn, though. if she had tried to talk to jinx again, like how she's been doing this entire time, she probably would have just gotten shot at again, esp since jinx is alr upset w her and literally gesture for her to leave and walk away. vi did her best, and at the same time, jinx could also be a better sister. it goes both ways. not to mention, vi didn't even know jinx was on the bridge in the first place... so how could she have ran to her? lmao it's not rocket science. and jinx isn't some helpless baby like some of you enjoy treating her. she is 18-19, possible 20 atp. she is capable of making her own decisions. vi isn't responsible for absolutely everything.

@Mnkeys I would intend to have a productive good faith dialogue with you where both of us gain a better understanding of the subject manner. But I fear that you have already made up your mind. So I'll leave it at this. In my opinion, VI's action falls into the correct side of the spectrum of possible decisions, however in my opinion there were better overall actions vi could have taken, one being to leave Caitlyn in the hands of echo and deal with jinx herself. She made a correct positive decision overall but one that also comes with very clear negatives.
