It never ceases to amaze me how many hundreds of men and women become professional pool players when only a handful ever earn more than $50,000 a year. And that is with no fringe benefits and no guarantees on earnings. I have been to several professional pool tournaments and the participants mostly look like vagrants. And no wonder as they share cheap hotel rooms and survive on bar food.
