I was not able to stave off the UAS. Just bought one of these. Not going to stop playing the 4-string ukes I have (I love the G string; high and low) but I am excited about experiencing the ease of playing up the fret board easier as an intermediate player. Can’t wait! 🎶 🎉❤😊

Totally cool. As a low-G player, I'd sort of miss the G, but I love the lack of barre chords for beginners.

Very appealing instrument - I'm trying my hardest to stave off UAS!!! Question, instead of a tradition Am (2-0-0-0) I'm assuming you'd play Am (0-0-1) on the Ekolu?

I’d play 0-0-0 as it is tuned C E A. There’s no G string. It is super easy to play!

So i could basically remove my Low G string and i would have my own personal Ekolu? Great!

@@Zed.90 Now there’s an idea! 🤔 However, I have a Tiny Tenor too, my favorite of all my 10 ukes. It will need to keep 4 strings. So it’s very exciting to have two Dan Ho TTs, one with 4, one with 3 strings. The sound of the TT body is unique, so much projection for a small instrument and bold sound. I see a couple of my other ukes going up for sale rather than removing a string.

Hey, that’s my DH TT sans the G. Cool and brilliant, Daniel. 👏🏼 All the best. Me (UH#491)

Yes it is! It is the body, bracing and design of the Tiny Tenor with a neck to accommodate three strings. I play this more than my Tiny Tenor! :)
