On October 20th, 2023, El Debarge & Avery*Sunshine played the Back Bay Amiptheater for the Hyatt Regency Summer Concert Series.
Five-time GRAMMY-nominee El DeBarge got his start as the lead singer of the family group DeBarge, who was on par with The Jacksons in terms of sheer family talent, releasing a string of chart-topping hits such as “Rhythm of the Night”, “Stay With Me”, “Time Will Reveal”, “I Like It” and “All This Love”. Known for his unique high tenor register and strong falsetto, DeBarge went solo, collaborating with artists like Dionne Warwick, Chanté Moore, and Babyface. His comeback album “Second Chance” was nominated in three GRAMMY categories, and in 2023 Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him 137 on its list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time.

Don't let this video fool ya...I can vouch... Lil Bobby can really sing, sing like for real & can truly hit his father's notes. This performance was a lil off for him. I think he wasn't feeling well or something, to where he wasn't planning on performing & Unc called him out on stage anyway. He tried to stay in a lower/comfortable range & Unc like unt uhn....these fans want ur daddy's version, don't do dat....Dats why El kept grabbing the mic back.. 😂 Overall its beautiful to see these 2 perform 2getha. Many try to come close w/tributes but that DeBarge sound is unique treasure. I love their voices. ❤
