Well this didn’t age well since Sha’Carri wasn’t able to qualify for the 2022 USA team in either the 100m or 200m. She was pretty badly beaten in fact 😩. Your theories may be great on paper but unless an athlete is disciplined, committed to their craft, training consistently and competing at an international level, your theory is just that imo. Talent alone without discipline just doesn’t cut it. Not sure if Sha’ Carri has that champion mindset rn. Too many distractions and sponsorship/media hype may have already derailed her short career😒😒

Great job! I love analysis videos like this. I would compare ETH to FloJO vs Richardson because ETH is getting closer to flojo's 100m WR and they match up better. FloJo is the gold standard for form. If you ever saw her run on live tv....it was freaking magic. She floated across the track like MJ doing the moon walk. It looked like an optical illusion and it was electric. Running at high speed with zen...looking great in outfits you designed that were scandalous at the time and with a smile at the end to gold...you got to be kidding me. Nobody has run like that. search for bolt vs flojo - one of the best analysis of her technique on youtube. Shows her advantages. If you notice ETH and now SFP have picked up on the FloJo school of running relaxed at very high speed that was first pushed by her coach Bobby K. who is now coaching another phenom with nice form...Syd in the 400m hurdles who is busting WR's almost ever time she steps on the track. ETH and FloJo had some of the same advantages - almost the same height, not the greatest starts but the best second half in the business. ETH runs relaxed, tight straight line, and slows down less than others at the end. SFP is probably one of the best starters in history and if you notice she has changed her style/form. She used to blast out and run with insane intensity daring everyone to catch her but that cost her against ETH in the second half. The last 2 years she has modified her running and at her age is running better than ever. Insane. If she had made those mods 5 years ago when younger I think she would have broke 10.60 years ago. She is using the FloJo school of running more relaxed at high speed for a better race overall vs just the insane start. Her second half has improved by a lot. She smoked ETH this year. Worlds will be amazing. Id say jackson is favored in the 200m at worlds not ETH this year and Shelly Ann in the 100m just based on how they are running this year vs ETH. They may break her times but I have yet to see anyone with FloJo's magical form.

surfman: *The Jamaican's have been running these amazing times since the pandemic, one has to wonder what type of COVID vaccines they're being administered, there are no coincidences in life that can't be questioned. I'm not accusing the Jamaican women of knowingly cheating, the East German women of the 70's and 80's didn't know they were being doped up without their knowledge, they thought those great times were of their own doing, just the same, both SAFP and Elaine Thompson both broke 10.70 in the 100m in the same track season in the first time in Jamaica's track history, and all of a sudden in one year and in the same year they BOTH were and are threatening to break Flo Jo's records out of nowhere. Does COVID vaccination has anything to do with their sudden fast times, coincidence or just plain miraculous improvement, we're being told it's "hard work," weren't they already "working hard" prior to 2021? When a country like today's Jamaica has made track and breaking world records their personal entitlement, objective and identity, is there no means necessary that is off the table?*
@websurfer1000
@websurfer1000 Жыл бұрын
@@imo1933 If you look around its global. WR's are being smashed and have been the last 2 years and now counting. Tracks are faster, shoes/spikes are a huge factor, training is better, recovery, diet....everything has improved by a massive factor the last 3 years. Its always been that way in track. Jesse Owens ran without blocks. They used to dig into the cinder tracks. If FloJo had come up in this era she would have turned pro after her freshman year vs dropping in and out of college to work to eat. She would have trained more. There is no stigma about women with muscles vs in her day. It's laughable now. They were screaming she hulked out after working with heavy weights and trained like male sprinters with her husband. Her arms are like tooth picks compared to todays elite sprinters. Comparing runners of different eras is tough. The conditions are totally different today vs the late 70s'/80s. As for SFP, ETH...jackson.... testing is in place. Innocent until proven guilty. Every time someone WR's in the sprints...it triggers questions.

...why? There have been plenty of comparisons to Shelly-Ann. Sha'Carri is her biggest competition from the US. She ran 10.75 as a FRESHMAN (under 20) in college, which is the fastest time ever in the NCAAs. Elaine didn't break 11 until she was 23-24 and didn't get to 10.7s until she was 24-25. Great Video. Also, I was curious about something this video might have clarified. I was recently watching Fahnbulleh's 100 and 200 at NCAA Championship. I was curious what is happening on a mechanical level that makes his top-end look so much faster. I know others are decelerating, but his top-end mechanics look different than anyone else's. His top-end almost looks like people's drive phase. I imagine the answer is in the ground- vs. air-dominance you spoke about. Is that a fair assumption?
@sherenesherwood2314
@sherenesherwood2314 Жыл бұрын
You do not always deaccelerate at the end this is a myth. Watch Usaim 200m 2012 and Veronica Campbell 200m 2011. They both came off the bend with speed, allow the wind to take them over like gravity. This will allow you to relax and able to pick up speed at the 150m mark or 180- 190. You can accelerate at the end of race. Watch both videos to see what I am saying. Elaine also increases he speed at the end of the race. It is about body control and technique.

@alfa_romeo55yush82 Жыл бұрын
Your assessment is quite eye opening but in reality means nothing as how would you compare Fahnbulleh from University of Florida to the running style of these two women, as his strength kicks in at the 60 meter mark and always comes from behind. Im comparing stride and coming out of the blocks. Not male vs female but the actually technical side of running barring the obvious difference.

@@imo1933 lol! ok, without going into a lot of detail, let me see. Shacarri is 22. At 22 Shelley-Ann won Olympic gold for the 100m in the Olympics held in Beijing. So far, Shacarri has been all talk but when it comes to to act...NOTHING. So far, it has been an ABSOLUTE ZERO outside of her own little square, not one single medal on the international front. Even Brianna Williams who is younger than her has done better in the international arena. With all that Nike backing and all that US$$$ backing, she still can't seem to achieve. So sure, we will see, IF she has more than just BIG talk and if she can gain enough self respect to stop acting so ghetto and disrespectful to other MEDAL WINNING ATHLETES and perhaps take good examples from REAL ATHLETES like Shelley, Elaine, Shericka AND Allyson, for example. Yeah, sure, we will see. It is a looooong stretch, if present example is any indication...but hey ANYTHING is possible, right..(rolling my eyes)..lol!

Do not forget or ignore the fact that she was the one running up her mouth and being disrespectful and dismissing others who have PROVEN that they can do what needs to be done...REAL MEDALISTS when she has done nada, so far...except in her little square, which sorry, doesn't count in the REAL scheme of things. So yeah! keep hope alive..there IS always hope. Let me ask, why are YOU so obsessed with the Jamaican women? I can assure you NONE of them are thinking about or concerned in the least about Shacarri. They are busy concentrating on their craft and working at improving themselves and, the results speak for themselves. Perhaps you can advise your Shacarri to do the same. I’m confused, if Richardson is so great, why was she not on the US Worlds team in Eugene. It is an insult to the women who actually made the team and won medals, as well as to Thompson to make this comparison. Richardson has turned into a sideshow.

Elaine is an amazing sprinter but her career is only a few years over. I believe Shericka is going to be the next Shelly as Shelly is also done after Paris2024, Shericka is more consistent in every race than Elaine, shes young and have more years to improve. Same go Shacarri, shes also young, their time is impressive and i bet they can still beat it.

Sha'Carri Richardson PR is 10.72s over the 100m Event and that was a one time thing done last year, what has She done since ? Elaine Thompson-Herrah is a Workd Class proformer over the years with a PR of 10.64s over the 100m Event and has been running in the 10.60s, 10.70s on a regular basic, She's a double Olympics Winner over the 100 & 200m Event ..Now how can you compares Sha'Carri with her, who has Never Earned a Medal in any Major Track & Field Event, She might be America Finest but that's as Far as it goes, until She Start Earning Medals .She got a chance to do so at this year World Championship but nothing is sure until the day of competition, so let see because "It's Always Easier Said" Than Done"..
