(1) Too many clips where the ultimate call was never revealed. (2) Announcers still don't know the difference between interference and obstruction.

I came to say the same thing. I hate it when baseball people who should know don't know the difference between interference and obstructing
@DeanHolmes-i2l6 ай бұрын
They don't put in as much time announcing as they did when they played. The trickiest call for interference/obstruction is the groundball in the 5/6 hole with a runner going to 3rd. The ruling umpire has to decide which of the fielders he's going to protect, because he can only protect one. The other could become guilty of obstruction and or the runner for interference.

Annoucers are cut off too quickly so you really don't know what happened. Ruins an otherwise good video. Stopped after 2 min.

Why can we never see the end of the clips?!
@arinerm1331 Жыл бұрын
2:02 For fuck's sake let the clip play to a conclusion! As we hear Buck Martinez **begin** to explain what call is being made by whom, the clip cuts off. Many of these clips are similarly cut before the conclusion.

I wish you'd leave time for an explanation. But a good video.

Was going to say the same, I’d like to hear the commentary of exactly what happened. Some of these are straightforward, however some not, gotta admit I’ve never heard the rule where the catcher cannot touch the ball with his mask.

You need to let them play out a little more to let us see what the call is.
@ts.elliot58703 ай бұрын
Let the videos play out a little longer. It'd help explain the ruling. Thanks!

This is badly cut. You skip to the next clip before we even understand what happened on the last one. I gave up half way.

Interference on a batter/runner is a harsh rule, dude legit has no time to move outta the way, understandable rule but damn it hard luck sometimes

they actually taught my team how to force interferance on the base path. whenever someone got in our path we were taught at times to try and get hit/go through them and hope the interferance call goes in our favor

Soooooo many catchers over-exagerate their throwing motion and take extra steps on a throw to second.

Just a shade too early on the cuts. Otherwise, good stuff, keep up the great work!

At 9:45 the pitcher and first baseman both run into each other blocking the base path, but one of them caught the ball so I feel like it shouldn't be interference but it is. Who else agrees that if that happens and the ball is in the glove of a defender then it should still be an out?
@ZachCremisiSky6 ай бұрын
The batter collided in the infield. Not on the base line. Batter should bee out, but the umpires gave him 1st.

The only thing this video shows is how the announcers don't know the difference between obstruction and interference.

As many videos on this channel, these clips are cut together beyond recognition and very hard to follow with any commentary / final decision to explain the situation. There are several clips I've seen better explained in breakdown videos.

I feel like if youre getting a lead off of base and cant get back for any reason then its your own fault. Youre not required to get the lead, its the risk you take.

What the hell? On half the plays you didn't even wait around for the explanation of what happened. Lame.

Let the commentary after the play run for a few seconds longer; half the time you cut off the ruling on the play...

I would like to see the rule for the batter/runner running to first changed so the runner has to be in the running lane. Of course, I played first base.

The A's one the batter went onto infield grass and interfered with defense.

It would be great if they took another 5 seconds for each play to better explain what happened. Half of them have he commentators not having a clue what happened.

The play where the catcher interfered with the movement of the ball is illegal in baseball. You cannot use your equipment, other than your glove, to impede the movement of the ball.
