Elden Ring: Big Bird Must Fall

What is up my homies! Yesterday we continued our struggle against the Godskin Apostle, but he actually fell reasonably quickly. Then we spent quite a while against some minor bosses, before continuing our journey East, where we found a big ol' bird, guarding a temple of some sort. It's a really tough bird, but today it will fall! Then our journey to the East will be complete, and we can head back into saner territory.

I stumbled upon a newbie guide for this game since I just picked it up also, and found out ea weapon type has a letter grade associated to a dmg type that scales with dmg. Such as S scales very well and D would be very poor as example. Then I learned the max cap per skill is 99, but ea stat has a different soft cap associated to it that offers soft caps b4 you get diminished returns. So your comment about how you wanted to just put all stats in one thing actually would be a big waste after about 50-55 for one. But some it's a waste after like 35. Wont go into details , just didn't want you to get trapped goining 1 stat point per skill point as you lvl up when lower lvls you might get like 26.

Yeah I know all that from playing previous FromSoftware games, within the context of the game mechanics my plan to put everything into a single stat is until it reaches that less viable point

@@CallumBradbury cool, ya I was wondering if maybe you might have like a higher lvl ranked dex or faith weapon but had all ur point's in str, which would be affecting ur atks vs having a str sword which would benefit from your high str skill. Fun times so far!

My weapons are strength swords, generally speaking a sword will start off with a low-ish rank C or B, then as you upgrade it with the smithing stones its rank will increase. That's not always the case, but from what I remember of the other games thats how it works. Upgrading the weapon doesn't just increase its damage it also increases its stat scaling.
