My first run through of Elden Ring (my first Souls game in fact) was magic only. It was really quite easy, but fun and a good introduction into the series.

My first run was with melee weapons, but I was exploring alot so I ended up being having this weird experience where I'd go from being overleveled in one fight to severely underlevelled the next as I went all over the map... right now I'm doing a magic run and my god is magic just broken... Nothing beats the insane tactic that is slowly walking backwards while spamming night comet, if something should prove slightly troublesome I can always just hit the delete button on their ass with a kamehameha that just makes their healthbar go poof before they can even react. Or I can summon the whole fucking asteroid belt on their face which also deletes them before they get a chance to react...
