Here is the pinned comment. -There is apparently a way to get the Dragon Priestess Spirit Ashes INSTEAD of the Priestess Heart and Gavel. It requires giving the Priestess Thiollier's Concoction at some point, before defeating Bayle I think, although I am not 100% sure. IMPORTANT: it seems like you can still do the Dragon Communion Priestess quest even if Igon has been killed. You just won’t have Igon to help you fight Bayle the Dread. My cheese: Play keep-away with Sennesux after you plop Latenna down next to either the Stake of Marika or the Summoning Pool stick. His AI doesn't know what to do with Latenna outside the arena, so he ignores her. Just kite him until he dies. It does take a while.

As a lighting build so do I. But at least I can transform into my favorite mythical being, a dragon. This is great news. The two body buffs are welcomed improvements to the old ones. It would be nice to have a couple new attacks though. Lightning spear didn’t need a buff but I’ll take it. It was the other two that needed reworking imho.

There is a painting in the shadow keep and when you go to the paintings location, you can get the rock heart that turns you into a different dragon form

I did it by accident and can’t really remember the location of the painting, but if you found a painting while in the shadow keep that has a red sky and shows the erdtree, go to the jagged peak mountainside grace and scale the mountain then use the first spiritspring and keep right, you’ll fall down and there will be a guy there, then roll or hit him. Edit: the rock heart buffs dragon COMMUNION incantations, while the priestess heart buffs dragon CULT incantations

Ok, I went back and found the painting again, when you beat the hippo in shadow keep, make your way through the keep, when you reach the bridge with one of messmers knights, you want to roll off the right edge and land on the little bit of stone then you want to go behind the water fall then down the latter and finally, it will be in the next room. There is also a illusionary wall in the same room as the painting, it’s the wonky looking wall right of the painting

Ancient Dragon Senessax cheese is riding torrent with lorettas mastery and running back through the path you came, as Senessax follows he will despawn. Then you ride back to the arena and he will slow walk towards you, it will give just enough time for one or two shot. Then repeat when he depawns down the path

This works great. I put Loretta out a bit from the water and just ran circles round Senessax. Only at the very end he caught on and aggroed her but I ran up and just used my katana to finish him.

Something i found helped with sannesax (or however its spelled) is to lead it out of the water. The shockwaves produced by it being in water lead to really annoying dodge timings, while being on normal land makes it a lot easier. Not sure if this actually helps anyone tho ^^

Repeat the steps. It Takes some time but you dont have to fight him. Take a Lot of arrows with you, especially poison and blood Arrows etc.

In the two dragon fight, you can wait and one dragon will kill the other. Then you only have to fight one that is on 3/4 hp.

@@HunterBABCHDTVpfpshello so the fight is scripted, and one dragon will always die. I just rode around on torrent trying to 3rd party the fight only damaging the dragon that wins. If you do this well you can get the winning dragon below half while speeding up the waiting time with little risk of actually dying

you can scarlet aeonia or dragon rot breath the jagged peak dragon while it fights the other. rot ticks down its hp. almost makes the fight fair between the two dragons. the weaker dragon was still alive when i used this strat. he only had 1 hit left of hp too.

Pest Threads just absolutely demolishes Bayle’s Healthbar if you run talismans setup for Pest Thread spam. With Mimic as well it dies very quickly, but can also 2-shot even a level 340+ character (if on NG+2 or higher) and can kill the Mimic INSANELY fast. Same applies to Seneasaxx.

Spoilers, but there's another way to complete the quest, which gives different gear. Need to do it before killing Bayle, though. Progress through Thiollier's questline until you get his concoction (do not use it on yourself), then give it to Florissax at night, while she's standing unaware. Wait a few days until she wakes up, then exhaust her dialogue. Kill Bayle with Igon, then return to her. She'll reward you with the Dragonbolt of Florissax, which gives a 10% damage negation buff to you and nearby allies. Admit what you did, but keep talking. Accept her offer. You'll recieve her spirit ash, in return for losing out on her weapon and the Priestess Heart. Congratulations, you now have a dragon GF. Vyke and Lansseax would be very proud of us.

A method that helped me beat the ancient dragon was hit and run, specifically to for the back legs as it mostly attacks with front legs. Make sure to jump every time the dragon strikes the ground as its lightning spreads through the water. Lastly bait its fire breath, get around it and you can get a good charged attack in while in its breath animation, then quickly get on Torrent and run away and rinse and repeat

Spoilers here There are two separate dragon forms and a different ending to the dragon priestesses quest line. There is a painting in the shadow keep that is solved in the dragon mountain place on the way to bayle, it gives you the male counterpart form that the ancient dragon man had. This one boosts dragon communion but is otherwise the same as far as I can tell. Additionally if you get the sleep potion from thioller (sure I’m miss spelling that) you can actually use it to put the priestess to sleep. This allows you to actually get a spirit ash version of her after you defeat bayle but locks you of out the female dragon form and maybe her weapon

As for where to redeem the painting is past the ancient dragon on the way to bayel, just look for a side path near the spirit spring

@@mordekai3221 I saw a video were you can find a painting I think it's literally called dragon painting and you go to the location and you get a special stone that gives you a dragon transformation the second dragon form involves a little quest line there is a man on a road withing in pain I don't think it matters if you kill him but I wouldn't just in case past that man is a small dungeon fight through it and in that dungeon there will be a illusion wall that leads to a area with a lot of dragons the area looks like a mountain then you will eventually find a NPC that looks like there in dragon form but different talk to this NPC and say yes then all you have to do is in this area is climb all the way to the top killing all the dragons along the way untill you find a boss called dreg kill him go back to the npc dragon person and you'll get the presitess heart there you go also how did you get the omen form?

Tip for Senessax: super easy with magic build. It won’t be trigger until you get close. Make you build tough with the new dragon slayer blade, summon, then change your build to magic build with all attack buff. Then you can go for battle. Since your’re on ride, most of it’s attack can be easily evade by running or double jump. Plus u have a side tracker will descent dps. All you need to do is to keep spaming quick and powerful magic attack.

I defeated that ancient dragon using Blasphemous blade range spam build. Basically bring mimic tear, spam ash of war on blade when mimic has aggro, hop on horse to repotion up and escape attacks until mimic draws aggro again, then repeat. Does less per hit than the dragon katana, but was easier to pull off

When ancient dragon locks on to you lead it out the lake and hit it twice with the dragon katana weapon art, lead it further out and it will teleport back to its starting point, keep doing that until it’s dead it makes it so much easier

A cheese strategy I found for Senessax that worked for me was basically playing joust with him - Use torrent to run under him, get a couple hits, and run out of range. Once he's facing and walking towards you. Run under him, get some more hits, rinse and repeat. Was surprisingly safe, only problem I found was getting stuck under the tail a couple times

Why let your players discover the worlds lore at their own pace when you can just simply punish them for the non linear level exploration YOU encouraged, but dont worry, you'll still find PLENTY of reused and reskinned bosses from the base game that wont go ANYWHERE no matter what you do. You know I get designing with the intention of the player not seeing all the content (Even though "intention" does not make a decision GOOD, the road to hell is paved with good "Intentions") but most developers would make their GOOD content hard to miss while making most of the recycled/Subpar content obscured off the beaten path, bold strategy on Fromsofts part to flip the script and do the exact opposite. _Now if you'll excuse me, I have more Agheel reskins to sprint right passed._

I have a somewhat of a cheese for Senessax, what i did was that i used Frenzied Burst while on horse back, Senessax only has a few long range attacks, but you can easily evade those by just running side to side or back away with torrent, you can also use a long ranged spirit if you feel like doing back to back distractions

Bayle tips: He can be poisoned He can be bled (and bleeds quite a bit, but also takes a bit to get there) Try attacking unlocked if he's up close, you can sometimes walk right under him. Careful when attacking the severed leg, he likes to curl his tail around in that direction and do a downward AOE fire bit.

He can be rotted. If you give zero figs about a fair fight, near half health tag him with Scarlett Aeonia or pelt him with rot attacks/items. Spend the rest of the fight running for your life as the rot ticks like a doomsday clock.

You can use the harpunes of igon (you find the crafting book on the way) those debuff every dragon and deal good amount of DMG vs dragons Other than fhat i used double great katanas both the special versions but dragonhunter + great katana works for sure and for distance i have the throwing daggers blood infused did it on first try maybe that helps:)

For the dragon fight, I used Tiche and poison arrows. For whatever reason, the dragon AI doesn’t use a lot of lightning attacks as the proc damage does continues to damage him. If you circle around the arena he will just follow you. Took a while but felt good slaying the dragon.

They are at the Belurat Tower Settlement, which is a legacy dungeon (and I think it is necessary to beat the DLC, but I cannot confirm). It isn't the entirety of that area, but at a few key intervals. These are the only scorpion spiders I've found so far.

for the jagged peak drake thingy dragon you can go on the ledge and just shoot him with arrows but you need a lot of arrow i recommend rahdans bow and use the attack where the arrows rain down when the dragon comes close to the ledge

On the way to Bayle, between Jagged Peak Mountside and Summit sites of grace, you can also find Rock Heart - a similar reusable to the one you get after defeating Bayle. It boosts dragon communion incantations.

I followed this, Bayle was really hard. The wing fire lightening incantation is awesome and well worth it. Bayle was the first real boss I defeated in the DLC, so I think I'm ready now. Crazy fight. I finally realized that you could just walk up to Igon's summoning deal and take no damage then summon your ash, 4 times out of 10, but no damage. I used the glintstone dragon breath incantation, not Smarg's but the lower level one. I find I like the lower level dragon breaths a lot more than the named ones.

@ItsShatter you can avoid the boulders completely by taking a left and going up a small hill (hug left wall once you get up where the boulders are) that takes you to left of the boulders and then you can grab the scadutree shard without activating the boulders

Bayle was crazy in second phase. Getting a decent start was a major pain trynna summon bro for his revenge quest but then having to TRY and summon Mimic.. fight was brutal but so satisfying in the end. Not looking forward to round two in new game plus lol

Or alternatively you can get the rock heart which basically does the same thing. You can get that by completing the painting puzzle on the way to bayle's arena after getting the mountainside grace. It also boosts some stats and dragon communion spells if you're already in dragon form from using the priestess's heart.

When getting to the map, a way easier and safer way to do it is when you get to the transition from red fields to blue fields and hop onto that boat like structure into the cerulean fields, go down that structure and around the cliff, it will take you to where you dropped down to without risking running off a point where you drop too high.

Hey, I was playing the dlc, if you find the cathedral of manus metyr you can go the backside of it and find a coffin like thing, you can interact with it and it allows you to duplicate a remembrance. Not sure if it’s multiple you can duplicate but you guys can let me know if you try :)
