One thing I forgot to add here, is for the Rock Heart item to appear, you’ll need to interact with the painting in the Shadow Keep! The painting is in the Shadow Keep, after beating the Golden Hippopotamus. After activating the Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace, you'll head northwest and up to the top of the castle.

You have to get the painting in shadow keep for it to appear
