@@McGoughable if you're on console, you can easily re-map the buttons without issue. I did it first thing so I would have the muscle memory later on. In case you weren't aware of it. I switched x and triangle to match other Fromsoft games.

I know cowboy won't see this till late in the game but to access summons apparently you go back to where you meet the first merhant after getting torrent. There should be a Wich that gives you the bell and wolf summon

Was really hoping that STR would still affect load at least somewhat. Dex increases cast speed passively, so having Str do more than just damage would also make sense. And ofc he says that exact thing 2 mins later

Hey Cowboy, great video. Excited to play this in a few HOURS!!! I noticed something odd: at 13:17 one of the bats in the group has golden eyes (13:05 and on) and upon killing it (13:20), you gain 235 runes. The other bats dropped 47 runes (13:26) and (13:43), meaning the gold eyed version dropped 5X the normal runes. You didn't proc the overkill bonus (like it has existed in previous souls games) and the bat didn't look any more difficult than the other two. I don't know if you noticed this or if anyone else has noticied that detail but that a pretty neat mechanic.

@walter also, keep a look out for skulls with a blue glow on the ground in that exterior area. If you roll/attack them they drop the equivalent of a crunchable soul. I didn’t do a ton of hunting, but I ended up with 1800 runes with just small runes alone, and I have a good handful of higher tiers I don’t want to pop yet, as I haven’t gotten the ability to level, I bought all the items I needed at the cathedral merchant. Which was good, because I lost every soul I got from the tutorial area when I to tussle with the golden horse knight while on foot.

The convoy doesnt need to be attacked. Just go behind and open chest. I did it and chest opened no issues. Also at the part where theres ruins, theres 2 caravans, well you missed the first one near the grace it had a great sword in it.(you opened the second one with the flail but forgot the first one with great sword.)

My new favorite QoL change is the fact that doing stuff outside of combat doesn't consume stamina. I love that. However, the new thing I hate is the fact that I can't "ledge" enemies. I don't want them doing derpy stuff and jumping off but I'd love to kick them off with a well-placed backstab. I've tried this several times but so far they hit an invisible wall that doesn't seem to be there when I get knocked off. Anyone else noticed this?

Can confirm later in the game you definitely can, don't want to spoil just in case, but I have definitely done it, it just needs to be an area with an actual death zone pit or a really high fall since they nerfed fall damage for enemies too, not just you

I see they got rid of the multiple health bars and stealth kills entirely which they had introduced in Sekiro , well that sucks a c ock . Sekiro , I will admit ; not all of it's mechanics were amazing , and they really shouldn't have gotten rid of some Bloodborne mechanics , but some were really good . I'm glad to see the Rally mechanic from Bloodborne making a return , but I'm sad that they also got rid of the Stamina Break and Weapon Counter mechanics from Sekiro , those were actually good . Yes , Sekiro was abysmal in a certain sense because you hardly did any damage to any boss and any boss could two shot you , but they could have just toned it down more to Bloodborne levels , they didn't have revert to Bloodborne mechanics and get rid of Stamina Breaks and Weapon Counters altogether .

Okay there are stealth kills , but they only work on weak enemies who you could have one shot , also happy to see Parries and Viscerals make a return from Bloodborne . In my opinion , Japan Studios has yet to make a game that took the very best mechanics from Bloodborne and Sekiro and put them in a single franchise . I'm also happy that they got rid of all that Spider-Man horse s hit slinging around that they introduced in Sekiro . This game was a step in the right direction in combining Bloodborne's and Sekiro's best mechanics , still needs more accessible Stealth Kills , and a return of multiple health bars , Stamina Breaks and Weapon Counters .
