There was a comment on a SmoughTown video for Mohg that viewed the twins as showing different reactions to growing up in an abusive situation: Morgott was desperate to be loved so he stayed loyal to the Erdtree and tried to reject his Omen heritage (it looks like he has cut off some of the horns on his face area), while Mohg wanted to burn it all down and revelled in his Omen heritage, to the extent that his horns have outgrown to the extent that he is partially blinded. But I always found Morgott's story one of the saddest tales in all of Elden Ring: the only demigod who stayed loyal to the thing that hated him right to the end, and all for nought, even though he was granted Grace and the title Lord of Leyndell: even his Great Rune is proof of his heritage in the Golden Lineage. No matter what he does, the Erdtree will remain sealed to all. And harshest of all, his Omen curse is finally lifted right before he dies.

@@say5070 I'm with you. Let's also not forget that Morgott, the OMEN, became king and all other Omen are still treated the same. He did nothing to make anyone's life better he just violently simps for an order that hates him. He's pretty much pro-government in 1942 Germany while being Jewish. Since he calls himself King the state of the whole kingdom should be on his head but I"ll cut him a break and just judge him by the state of Altus and Leyndell: He's doing a terrible job. No one is fixing anything or cleaning up anything and it appears to me that the majority of the civilian population in Leyndell is gone. Meanwhile, all villages in Altus aside from Domminula have been destroyed. Domminula Village is just outside the outer wall of Leyndell and is off the rails and he hasn't sent anyone to reign that in. He sent a bunch of folks up Mt. Gelmir and that went terribly, as a matter of fact I think the Godskin Apostle is meant to give the impression the Domminula is under Gelmir control. Bringing this up makes me wonder when civil services stopped in the Lands Between. The road that leads from Leyndell to Liurnia and beyond, I call the Lord's Highway. This highway has engravings of prior Elden Orders on it so it is older that the Shattering War but then there is a chunk of sky ruins laying on the highway in Liurnia between Raya Lucaria and the Lift of Dectus. One would assume an order would be sent to clear the road. How long has that ash been there in Leyndell and why hasn't anyone cleared it? As many have said before, I think the Greater Will doesn‘t dictate the "type" of Order it wants, but it all depends on the current user of the ELden Ring. That's why Placidusax and Marika's Eras are different. In that way, the Golden Order rejecting the Omens was fully on Marika's own desire and hatred towards the Hornsent. That's why Morgott getting recognized by the "Golden Order" at the end is satisfying, as finally all those years of unbreakable loyalty and sacrifice could transcend his mother´s influence on the Golden Order and reach the outer god perhaps? or even more surprisingly, it being Marika's finally accepting him somehow.

Do you know the saddest part? he was probably the preferred candidate of the greater will to become the new elden lord after Godwyn's death, who created the thorns and the seal was Radagon who didn't want to lose the position of elden lord, Radagon clearly has hatred for everything that it goes against the golden order and this especially includes Morgott before he dies he is devoid of the "curse" he was born under and I think this could be the work of the greater will, the greater will simply doesn't care about the definition of the new order but that there simply is order, the greater will was probably involved with the crucible civilization that Marika destroyed and simply let Marika replace that order and antagonize the crucible, it's not the greater will that has hatred for the omens IT'S MARIKA!

I'd like to know why it seems taken for granted that Marika hated her omen sons. Where is the evidence for that? I can't find a direct reference to her stance with her sons and that would be very valuable to have a critical view of her actions. It would be as likely for her to have protected them from the cruel society she ruled over as nothing could have been done to prevent them from being excised or killed, she probably feared even her own will wasn't sufficient to set new as attitudes, on top of the political significance letting them go in the world meant to her order. I like the idea that her sons would have been the first in the shunning grounds because, before their very own Goddess, no one would have thought to protect their omen children from the scorn and violence which was warranted by society against them.
