The enemy that had commander Giaus's greaves is an albanauric woman. Gaius is an albanauric as well and the woman is his girlfriend. The reason why she has his pants is because despite the fact they were made for him they do not fit him so he can't wear them. He was protecting his girl Jev. you killed him and his girl jev. Feel guilty?

I'm not sure how much of the Albanaurics you know about, but they are a race of people born unable to use their legs. And eventually, everyone will have their legs fade away from existence. At that moment, the albanauric will die. The reason why it's still so close, however, it because his rememeberance also states he was a close friend to Messmer. So it could be that even though it was cruel and it was something he could never use, he did still at least value the item as it did come from a friend

The emote is “o mother” found to the left or north of bonny village near a tree. That area is more for the big Church to the right of Shadow Keep’s Questline and it does lead to a Remembrance boss. So i’d suggest going to that big church on the map. It’s dope asf

Jev, go where the burning boats are in shadow keep, and on the right side with those 3 boats, check the north railing. There is a hidden ladder that leads to a whole area and remembrance boss

Gauis is an Albinauric and fought along side messmer. However, given that he is an Albinauric his legs started to disappear which is why he rides the boar and doesnt have legs during the fight. Thus explaining why you dont get his leg armor from him.

Jev the item you got from the Sunflower Scadutree avatar is REALLY important (it can save you from something towards the end game i wont spoil it so just know its very useful towards the end please read its item description!) Also Gaius has no pants because hes an albinauric! He was likely born without legs and fused to the boar. If you read the pants it says they were given to him as a cruel joke for Gaius could never wear them. (item descriptions are awesome dont forget to inspect them!)

Jev in the shadow keep there is a secret coffin leading to one of the coolest bosses in the game. Its quite early in shadow keep in the begining when you walk up some stairs you Can go to the ledge and jump Down leading to a ladder and the coffin

Gaius doesn't where any greaves since he doesn't have functional legs, he's an Albinauric (like a few other characters), all albinaurics eventually become crippled. read his greaves' item description.

You have to do the "O' Mother" emote in front of the statue to the right of the Shadow Keep, Back Gate grace. Going to the center of the finger area is part of a side quest that leads to a remembrance boss. You can start the quest by going to the Cathedral south west of Shadow Keep. You get there by going down these holes in the Moorth Ruins west of the Highroad Cross grace. You have to go to other finger area in the south as well. Honestly might have to look up a guide if you want to get that quest done and beat the hidden Remembrance boss.

There's a remembrance boss connected to Count Ymir's questline, which can be started at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, which is to the right of the shadow keep, after you talk to Ymir and Jolan inside the cathedral you have to go to both of the giant finger ruins and blow a horn at both of them (you can return to the cathedral after the 1st ruin for dialogue and items) after youve done both ruins return to the cathedral talk to Ymir, rest and then something opens up inside next to Ymir, hope this helps ❤

The Shadowtree Avatar, once at 0 hit points, will die automatically if you don't visceral them within about 10 seconds. If you do get the visceral off, the next phase will be missing about 25% of its hit points.

Just tried your build well sorta the greatsword with lions claw but only 45 str 20 dex 60 vig and for someone who talks alot of shit on people who use op things you sure use op stuff yourself like i beat consort radahn first try with the GS and lions claw hes the hardest boss on elden ring and it made it a cake walk .. you should stop putting people down for using whatever you think is cheesy cause your being very cheesy yourself .

Commander Gaius doesnt have legs, hes albinauric. Thats why his leg armor isnt a part of his rememberence at the place where you get boss armors. You only get the pieces the bosses actually wear because you're grabbing it from their remembrance. He doesnt wear his leg armor when you defeat him so there's no way for the finger reader at the table of grace to get that armor. As for why the albinauric outside his arena has them? Probably some actual reason, but at the very least its a way to not break the lore of how the boss armor is acquired by the player character and still letting players have a full set of armor. Itd be kinda weird to have all the armor minus the legs. So they probably wrote in deep lore reason other than it was a joke placed on him but I dont know if it's been confirmed by anyone yet. The albinauric outside might be some sort of friend or lt to the commander.

Ah yes the Scadutree I noticed that it was taking extra damage to the head, and so I felt like I had to have something distract it while sniping it with ranged attacks and well... I had the Mimic Tear out and used the beast's roar ash of war out of all things to deal ranged damage. And well, it worked out for me much better than using Tiche and Lion's Claw
