I did wonder if the game would let you enter the boss from that fog gate since you can skip your way to the back side of the fort, and that does answer it. That new hand to hand is pretty fun to use and it's good that they made it feel different enough from the fist weapons, it definitely does feel like a return to ds2 with their attack animations.

I was so upset I couldn’t go in that way haha and the hand to hand sounds pretty cool. I feel like with those weapons and the use of dungeons that you can really feel Tanimura’s hand in the game
