@@Nicky-mk1nv A lot of the people who are saying it is too hard are those "career content creators" someone mentioned before ... but I think they get more views by dying a lot and raging over a game, right? It doesn't seem like anyone wants to watch a streamer who can confidently and carefully approach a combat situation and defeat it within a couple of tries. That's not entertaining for most people, it seems. So it actually garners more views and clicks when someone like Asmongold approaches combat kind of stupidly, gets killed over and over because of something easily avoided or countered, and yells into the void about difficulty. These people are smart, despite how they play games sometimes, and they know how to bring in viewers. That is my theory, anyway, so take it with a grain of salt.

Still trynna wrap my head around this boss and dlc…. It’s clear that the shadow realm came first and is the starting point for everything. All fingers came from metyr, who according to her remembrance, was abandoned like Placidusax… We have the Elden beast as a vassal… so what is their relationship? Who are the two finger at round table hold waiting to hear from? Is that why the old lady says it could take thousands of moons? Because the greater will is actually… gone? The greater will dropped its “daughter” off here and then it started birthing fingers. We find marikkas home village Then marikka has a son and he’s dying, to save him she makes a deal with the fingers or metyr…i think… then the rest is history… but why?

Idk about the "Marika saving her son", I didn't pick up on that when I played and I haven't watched any lore videos for the dlc. Now for the rest, we don't really know the context of the timeline here. Some could interpret it as the Greater Will being gone, but I don't necessarily see it that way. The fact that the old lady says "it could take thousands of moons" implies that they have done it before, and that they simply spend a long time communing with the greater will. As for why she was abandoned. My theory is the 3 fingers. the birth of the 3 fingers is perhaps what made the Greater Will abandon Metyr. Birthing an "uneven deformality" that went against the dualistic nature of the Greater Will. A deformality that ended up connecting to the Frenzied Flame instead. For this theory to be thematically consistent, that could imply that the "finger creepers" are offspring of Mother Metyr that she birthed after she was abandoned. Deformed offsprings without symmetry or purpose, sprouting multiple fingers, reflecting perhaps Metyr's desperation and aimlessness.

For example Elajjaz was interested in the lore, but obviously didn't see the fight coming and talked about it after the first death. Then he posts his build at the end where he killed the boss "first try". It's pretty basic content theft.

Metyr is the daughter of the greater will. Considering its vassal, the Elden beast, has the appearance of a cosmic body, and can also cause explosions similar to astels, it makes sense. And for why its fingers, Miyazaki couldn’t make it feet for his fetish, so this was as close as he could get. Also it goes kind of hard in a weird, finger way.

It's understandable though. Under normal circumstances, players figuring everything out themselves would be ideal, but some of them are career content creators with other obligations and timetable to follow. They can't spend hours upon hours searching every nook and cranny in a game. I can't imagine how long it would take them to find out every secret in Hollow Knight by themselves, for example.

I used an Eleonora's Poleblade build, I summoned just in case but it was pointless. I stunned her quite often with constant light attacks and bleed. One attempt. Only one attempt boss for me in the entire DLC.
