Jared Krauss While the person making the video was probably mistaken in saying that, it's not entirely wrong. One of the many theories for Malacath alongside the excrement one (which Malacath himself makes fun of by saying mortals take things too literally) and him being another aspect of Trinimac who might still exist, is that Trinimac was so torn by the shame and guilt of betraying Lorkhan that he became Boethiah, embraced his deceit and betrayal aspect, and left the raw, vengeful aspect of himself behind which became Malacath. It's not a very likely theory, but an interesting one nonetheless.

Fully agreed, but you gotta remember, some scrubs can't be bothered to play Morrowind because A: they were too young when it came out and won't play it for lolgraphics, or B: refuse to play it because they read some reviews where "Oblivion better, Morrowind bad..." Also, I like how there was no mention of Sithis in the beginning, no Heart of Lorkhan, no Numidium, no Orsinium, no Dwemer disappearance, no Chimer becoming Dunmer... True, but they skipped over a lot of the most important points, such as the death of the Tribunal, the Dragonbreak, the creation of Talos, the first Numidium, the second Numidium, and most of that specific creation story..... Plus they pronounced Boethiah wrong. And that's just stuff from Arena - Skyrim, not even getting into Redguard, Battlespire, and the TES Travels series... If they wanted to be accurate, or at least not-inaccurate, then they probably should've made this either a longer video, or made this a series with each video being a "(insert TES game here)'s entire storyline in 3 minutes!"

It also said that ther was 200 years of political assassinations but there was only the assassination of the high king done by ulfric stormcloak. It said that there was two major factions the imperials which is a part of the empire they said was destroyed and the stormcloaks which was just a rebellion. He also said that they simply had peace but you choose which one wins and what ever one you choose destroys the other.There was way more he either missed or got incorrect. I've played all of the elder scrolls games and have spent days if not months of hours either playing or watching the series get played.

There are so many half-truths and inaccuracies in this video, particularly surrounding creation. It's not blatant misinformation, it's just a clear lack of understanding of the lore. Lorkhan did not recruit the other spirits to create other planets and mortal races. Lorkhan only convinced them to create one thing: the mortal plane (Mundus). The planets were not made by Lorkhan, some of the spirits (et'Ada) that got trapped in the mortal plane ARE the planets (The Aedra/Divines). And Lorkhan and the other et'Ada did not directly create mortals, some of the other lesser et'Ada walked the mortal plane and their descendants became progressively more mortal with every generation until they *became* the Ehlnofey, the mortal ancestors of man and elf. You're clearly mixing and muddling some of the events of the Godhead's Dream (amaranth) with Anu's Dream. You're also mixing and muddling the 12 worlds with Lorkhan and the creation of Mundus. This is basically what 20 minutes of skimming through and half-reading some of the lore on UESP will get you. You take metaphysical metaphors as literal events, mispronounce many names, and show a consistent half-understanding of races and history. But fret not! Head on over to /r/TESlore and they can sort you out. Maybe learn a bit about how Talos was actually 3 people trapped in an enantiomorphic event, how daedra aren't a mortal race but are higher-dimensional beings, and a bit about the wonderful metaphysical headache that is CHIM and the Amaranth. Well, the "casu-el" will feel very confused with the game's storyline if the info they have is just plain incorrrect. I mean, TESIV: Oblivion wasn't that long ago. In literally the beginning of the main quest, you (the player character) become the "Hero of Kvatch", NOT Martin. It's a 2006 game, and you'd get that information from playing the first 20 minutes of it. How can you even get that wrong? Or did I just not hear some words in there? The guy talks too fast.

Is it me or is this video incorrect a lot? I thought Lorkhan tricked the gods to give up their divinity to create Nirn, to which they killed Lorkhan for it. And Talos was born as Hjalti, then Tiber Septim, and when he died THEN he ascended to godhood and became Talos. And martin wasnt a hero of kvatch. He was executed by Auriel and the other 7 Aedra 5. Lorkhan's death didn't cause the splitting of the continents, it caused the creation of red mountain 6. The races of Men and Elves weren't created and spread around, they were descended from weaker spirits who resorted to procreation 7. Boethia ate the spirit Trinimac and expunged him, it was Trinimac who was turned into Malacath, and his followers who became the orcs 8. Conflict between Men and Elves was concentrated largely, if not solely on the continent of Tamriel 9. It wasn't King Harald who drove out the Snow Elves, it was Ysgramor and the 500 companions 10. There is only one to two recorded conflicts between multiple continents in the history of Nirn, this is an image of Tamriel, a single continent made up of different countries, largely separated by race 11. The Septim Empire lasted for the entirety of the third era, not until Talos' death 12. Jaeger Tharn was only able to usurp the throne because he imprisoned and disguised himself as Emperor Uriel Septim VII, and this was still before the fall of the Septim Empire 13. The Emperor before the Oblivion Crisis was Uriel Septim VII(see above), and he was not assassinated until all of his known heirs were 14. Martin Septim was not the Hero of Kvatch, the Hero of Kvatch was the player character in TES IV: Oblivion, who told Martin of his true parentage(Martin was an illegitimate child) 15. Resealing the barrier between Oblivion and Mundus resulted in the death of Martin Septim, this is a pretty important detail as it led to the end of the Septim Dynasty, which led to the weakening of the Empire, which contributed to the current state of Tamriel 16. Daggerfall - dead king in the region of daggerfall is haunting his own people and making spookey noises at night which leads you on a long journey which eventually leads you to touching a statue and then travelign to aetherius to retrieve the mantella which powers the dwarven super robo magic mecha bot of destruction; the numidium. Morrowind - a prisoner from cyrodiil is transferred to morrowind by emperor's orders to join the blades, after sometime you discover you are possibly the reincarnation of an ancient chimer warrior and leader, Nevevar. The nerevarine then goes and kills a bunch of ash vampires and his old homie dagoth Ur. (forgive me for any errors it's been forever since I played either of these games)

The Aedra never intended to create Mundus. Lorkhan convinced them to do so, however after they realised that it will cost them their lives the Aedra fled Mundus. Thats how the stars and the Sun was created. The Sun because Magnus was the first to escape while the barrier was still weak therefore ripping a bigger hole in the barrier to Aetherius than the other Aedra which made smaller holes they call the stars. After that the other Aedra got pissed at Lorkhan, ripped his heart out and throw it onto nirn which led to the creation of the red Mountain. The different races of Man, Mer and Beastraces (called the Betmer i think) appeared through something similar to real life evolution. The Aldmer, which hailed from another continent which i dont recall the name of (Aldmeris maybe?) split into the different mer races (Altmer, Chimer (later Dunmer), Bosmer, Dwemer, Ayleids and Falmer) Man were originally one race which hailed from Atmora, spread accross tamriel and adapted to the different Enviroments forming, the Imperials in the Heartland, Redguards in Hammerfell and Nord in Skyrim. The Bretons were a product of Man reproducing with Mer making them similar to DnDs Half elves. Boethia ate the Hero Trinimac, an orsimer, later shat him out (or vomiting i am not sure) thous creating, Malacath and through that transformed the image of the orsimer into the orcs we know today. They never fought for Territory all over nirn, only Tamriel. they never managed to get past the Tseaci in Akavir. Also they never really fought over Black Marsh since it is barely possible for any other race than Argonians to live there. Ysgramor drove the Falmer out of Skyrim but only because they commited massive genocide against the humans. The Cyrodiliic empire still exists today, well the 3rd one that is but is still does. I dont know were they got 400 Years from. And the guilds were rarely involed in Politics. I dont know the Origins of the Fighters Guild but the mages guild was created to basically make magic mainstream in the universe. They even state themselves that they dont want anything to do with politics. So saying "under the rule" is wrong. Also they never ruled over Tamriel. They were counselors at best. They never managed to conquer Tamriel either. The Tseaci however did for a few hundret years. (It is not clear if the tseaci are human or actual snake people). They are not continents, they are provinces. Tamriel is the continent but thats nothing more than a nitpick. Talos original name was Hjalti, he was a breton from Highrock, burned down the imperial city and killed the emperor. He conquered all of Tamriel with the help of the brass tower and the numidium. The empire remained strong all throughout the 3rd era. It was only after the oblivion crisis that the great war began and the empire got split again. Martin septim is not the hero of kvatch, the player is. They only fought merunes dagon once, but it was actually akatosh who fought him and not the hero or martin himself. They just helped creating the right conditions for this to happen. The Stormcloaks are not nearly as important as Skyrim wants you to believe. They are a small faction that are insignificant. The Dovakiin never came to Skyrim to end the civil war. He was just a guy who got captured by mistake. Also the Empire (not Kingdom) is not at peace at the end of Skyrim. The second war with the Thalmor is about to happen. Also they completely skipped the events of Morrowind, and Daggerfall. with Daggerfall being really important because of the Dragonbreak causing six events at the same time to happen. I know that not all of what I said is 100% correct as I might have remembered stuff wrong. Also TES lore is very loose. However it is a better explanation than what they provided, and a more correct one as well.

Aedra and Daedra is a mostly meaningless term. It tells you who took part in creating Mundus and who didn't. They are Stasis and Change.

Matthew Weyer No, The Snow Elfes started the fighting by attacking the old nord city Saarthal because the Elfes discovered that under Saarthal there is the eye of Magnus. Nearly all nords died but Ysgramor survived. He then traveled back to Atmora, where he took the 500 best Atmoran warriors with him to get revenge on the Elfes. And well, the Snow Elfes didn’t stand a chance against Ysgramor and his warriors, because for every Atmoran 500 Elfes died.

As far as we know, Dagoth Ur (His reincarnated name) betrayed Indoril Nerevar and the Tribunal at Red Mountain. During the battle supposedly Indoril suffered fatal wounds (whether that is true or the tribunal actually killed him is not specified either way). Dagoth Ur (The incarnation) wants to return Morrowind and Vvardenfel to the Dunmer, true dunmer. He spreads a disease and plan to wage war until the entire region is under his grasp. More-over the two diseases he had spread was "lore-wise" extremely difficult to cure, and almost always fatal. In his mind he'd have re-shaped the world into what it always should've been. Never changing.

Played all the games (Yes, even Arena), finished about 4 of them. Oblivion was my first, and therefore I have attachment to it. The quests in Oblivion kicked ass though, leaps and bounds better than Skyrim. The one where you were trapped in an oil painting was clever as fuck. The guild storylines were way better: game changing plot twists in everyone of them. Holy Jesus, the Dark Brotherhood quests in Oblivion, blew Skyrim's Dark Brotherhood to non-existence. Become a Daedric Prince? Sure. Because, Oblivion Crisis. You were the killer? Well shit. You manipulated me to get back at a God? Cool. Did I just reunite two brothers? Aw. Now they want me to do more shit!? Fuck. Skyrim had way better mechanics though and obviously better graphics. It's not hard to compete against the potato heads Oblivion had.

I remember few last missions for Dark Brotherhood, crazy shit :D Oblivion is more based on quest lines and Skyrim is based on discovering lore. I like traveling and discovering new things and misteries so thats why Skyrim becomes my new fav TES game.

Arbiter Nah, brother. In terms of lore, ESO is where its at. Skyrim focused too much on Nordic lore and culture--I mean it kinda had to, and it borrowed a lot of books/lore content from other games as well. (I swear to god, the next time I see something about Barenziah, or see 'The Immortal Blood' _again_, *I am going to SEE blood*.) Whereas ESO isn't constrained to just Skyrim. So you're exposed to more than just Nordic lore. You get to witness the interregnum, one of the most pivotal moments in Tamrielic Lore. If you're familiar with *Skyrim*, you get to see Shalidor. If you're familiar with *Daggerfall* you see Mannimarco at his prime. If you're familiar with *Arena* you see the Tharns at their noblest, etc. From exploring the Imperial City, to exploring Black Marsh I could go on, but ESO probably the best for lore. Hell, become Emperor--make your own lore. Skyrim is more of the action-adventure RPG that introduced a new fanbase. It probably immersed new members by the rich and full background of the world. People talking to each other, the QUESTS! It provided players certain freedoms they probably didn't find in other games, it made Skyrim seem like a super livable place (besides the dragons, undead, civil war thing). Sometimes I dream, and I wake up as if I am in Tamriel. *That's how good Skyrim's world was*.

The problem with ESO is that its inconsistent with its lore, but at the very least you can find many cultural features and references to other TES games. Increasing the lore. In fact, many things about TES lore is confusing and outright contradictory, even without ESO adding to the writing cacophany: The idea of CHIIM, the Numidium, the apotheosis of Tiber Septim. Hell, even the Amulet Of Kings was retcon material, which added more shit to it.
