Question of the Week: Since Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim there have been fun rumors floating around the TES Lore community of Titus Mede II's possible involvement with Boethiah. As addressed in this episode, this theory is based on rumor though and unsubstantiated. For the sake of discussion, do you think it's possible the Mede family could have some Daedric connections? The Tharn family of the Second Era certainly did. Considering the following "Emperor during the early Fourth Era who came to power after the Oblivion Crisis. He was father to Prince Attrebus Mede and progenitor of the Mede Dynasty. Before his reign as Emperor, Titus Mede had been several things: a Colovian warlord, a soldier in an outlaw army, and a king in Cyrodiil. In 4E 17, he captured the Imperial City with less than a thousand men and seized control of the crumbling Empire from Thules the Gibbering. Although the Elder Council had preferred the rule of Thules because he was Nibenese, in the end they were persuaded to accept Titus Mede as a liberator rather than a conqueror." I believe it is possible.
@CoolBob44410 жыл бұрын
I wonder if this is connected to Tidus's surrender, If he welded the power of the favour of a daedric prince then surly he could have won the war with her help, perhaps Boethiah wanted a great sacrifice after the war or maybe she wanted the war to end like that to ban the worship of Talos, or maybe Tidus came across Goldbarnd out of pure chance that is also possible possible considering his position, he could have sent prospectors to find powerful artefacts to help in the war, this is all supposing the rumours were true.
@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim10 жыл бұрын
If he is a Deadric Worshiper, that probably explains why he gave up with the Great War even after retaking the Imperial City. The leader of the Thalmor threatened to revel that Tidus was a Deada Worshiper. Since he wanted to remain Emperor, he hastily agreed to the end of the war.
@Michael-ol8he10 жыл бұрын
Yeah totally- would be awesome if we saw that in the next TES game!

Lightning Storm Keep in mind that Tidus was somewhat younger back in the war, but you are right, when I met him in Skyrim he did seem the like the political type.

Brandon Withnell The enslavers? That seems like a bad Deadra that did a semi-good thing once.
@brandonwithnell6129 жыл бұрын
the belief that Daedra are good and evil is only in Dunmer religion, where as most races pray to the divines of the mortal realm and claim the Daedra to be no more than demons incapable of good or evil. the Dunmer however pray to the seven Daedra who were the most influential towards their birth as a race. ' Boethiah, Azura, and Mephala are held in high regard in Dunmer religion due to their influence on them on becoming the Chimer than later Dunmer and were their original gods before the tribunal replaced them, while Malacath, Molag Bal, Mehrunes Dagon and Sheogorath were seen as challenges for them to overcome.
@kierkiboy9 жыл бұрын
Wolvenfire86 Dunmer culture is really focused on the strongest dominating the weakest. If a ruler can't defend him/herself he/she shouldn't be ruling in the first place, validity doesn't mean jack shit in Morrowind. That's why the Morag Tong can operate in clear daylight.

I feel like I need to avoid getting into Empire vs Dominion arguments because there is really no point in arguing since it's all fiction. But as a final statement I will just put the facts as they are: 1. The Empire should have continued fighting the war not because of concrete chance of winning but because they would go down with the last shred of dignity humans had. 2. By signing the Concordat the Empire didn't buy time or save itself, it capitulated by accepting the terms of peace, digging it's own grave. Doesn't matter how much military you have, it's all gone when you underestimate the Elves. 3. The Stormcloak rebellion won't save mankind, it's decremental to the same goal mostly because they are killing their own solders. Empire couldn't stand against the Thalmor while it had Skyrim and there is no fucking chance they could stand now, with or without Ulfric's little rebellion. 4. Empire sucks: Corruption and tyranny 5. Stormcloaks suck: Hypocrisy and racism 6. Thalmor are Nazis
@Lightscribe22510 жыл бұрын
Going down with dignity means squat if the Dominion achieves its goal; namely rewriting history so mankind, its history, and its dignity never existed.

An emperor's first priority is the well-fare of its people. If he kept fighting an unwinable war, we would have failed in that front far more than with the WGC.
@hermaeusmora34510 жыл бұрын
The thalmor threw everything they had at the Empire. They failed. It will take thousands of years for the altmer to replenish their ranks. While Humans procreate ten times faster. Surely my Daedric kin will not allow Nirn to be removed from the top level of existence. We may yet see Shor (Lorkhan) take part in the Fight Against The Dominion Personally.

Part 3 of my quest ideas: *A Second Revolution* Step 1: In a random city(where you last leveled past the level needed) you talk to some followers of Boethiah who are imprisoned. Step 2: You help them escape to their shrine( You will lead a large group to that place, like having 5 or so followers) Step 3: once at the shrine you can slowly fund their efforts to build a warrior village( think about the "unearthed" quest) Step 4: Once it's finished they hold arena battles where you can win all the rounds to gain one artifact of choice( Goldbrand, the Ebony mail or fearstruck) End of quest.

I really, REALLY, want Boethiah to be the "bad guy" in ES6. The Redguards, Orcs, and Bretons could all withdraw from the Empire the same way the Nords did (assuming a Stormcloak victory) and form their own loose coalition. This would inevitably lead to a 3-way war (Daggerfall Covenant + Nords, Aldmeri Dominion, and the remnants of the Empire) that Boethiah could claim to be the grand schemer of, and it's the hero's responsibility to take him down and fix the course of history. This would also mean the locational setting could be in High Rock/Hammerfall and we could have something groundbreaking for an elder scrolls game: naval battles between the Aldmeri Dominion and whatever Breton-led alliance forms from these rebel forces. And to top it off, this could even set the stage for ES7, an Akaviri invasion on the now weakened Tamriel.
