Ive been modding my grass specifically for a while now trying to get dyndolod to extend it without destroying my performance, and it always seemed to be in the same exact place every time. I would test the same spot for days and no grass would be missing or moved around unless i took it away or moved it myself.

The vegetation is placed procedurally, but I don't think it is randomized. Those are different things. They might have changed some code in the engine that change the output of the algorithm that handles vegetation placement.

Modder's are the ones that have single-handily kept the game alive for so long. I think it would've been a great "thank you" from Bethesda to release the anniversary edition as a hybrid version that appreciates the work contributed by the community. Especially considering the vanilla anniversary edition is a clone of the already existing legendary edition.

The native 60fps are constant without exeption, even with mods. The "mod 60 fps" had huge framedrops and didnt handle any mods. For me thats an really important upgrade.

I was going to say. Playing on the series X before hand even with the 60fps compatibility there were huge frame drops. Most of the time it ran around 40 fps. Since the anniversary patch the fps is pretty much a stable 60fps even with a heap of mods. Impressive stuff I’d say.

the anniversary edition in terms of the baseline update hasn't changed really anything other than adding a few features. The point of the anniversary edition is to add all the new and existing content thats in the creation club to your game and that's what it was marketed as. It was never marketed as a step up like the original version of skyrim - skyrim special edition. I don't know what people were expecting... it's literally just a content update

The PS5 has 4000+, Free mods that do diddy-squat in graphical updating. But they do get a lot of CC content at a lower price that makes the game a little less vanilla.....that the Xbox hasn't need since the day mods were available for console..

The series S has been running an optimized version of the game for a while now, 60 frames and 4k textures really make this version of the game not worth getting since we're getting all the same stuff on the next gen version of the special edition ANYWAYS. It’s crazy that there’s a massive bug after doing the wabbajack mission for Skyrim on ps5. If you finish the mission and try to leave the area it crashes every single time

That whole quest has always been buggy for some reason, It used to crash everytime I entered the Pelagius wing on Xbox 360 and then it used to never let me leave or progress with the quest on Xbox one. I don't know the mod support for ps5 but it's really worth downloading the unofficial Skyrim patch mod it fixes a lot of things :)

They never said they changed those things about the graphics, they said they added particle effects and god rays, for example. 2:32 Notice the snow particles, for example. So it's pointless if you're trying to compare textures and such things, which they never said they changed, anyway.

Have you guys played it? Cause I bought it, and I'm very impressed. I think you have to see it in motion. There's a hue over the gameworld, and you see that when you look around. Looks like next-gen-lightning. LoD runs further in the distance, very thick clouds, mountains can be intimidating. Water also beautiful, I saw it when I was in the water at the surface. Textures are sharp, with countless tiny white dots you see from a bigger distance you are used to. These dots gives the rocks better texture. I have the feeling this is Skyrim redefined, what it always should have been. Very nice to just walk around in the snow, cause everything is beautiful. It's just nice to look at, and beautiful.

No. Everything they show isn’t part of anniversary. It’ll update to this automatically for free. The part you pay for is all the extra content. $20 for a ton of additional content.

They’re all pay to pay mods that Bethesda hired mod makers to create and meet their standards to run flawlessly with the game. Some of them have been available for awhile but you had to buy them individually. Some are brand new basically DLC in size. Either way it’s significantly cheaper to buy this version that it would’ve been to buy the mods individually

Just for clarification everyone, the Anniversary Edition isn't a remaster. It's literally the Special Edition but it also includes all of the Creation Club dlc. On Steam you can't even buy a separate version. It's literally a bundle of Special Edition plus the Anniversary Edition upgrade, which is listed as dlc for Special Edition on Steam. Any graphical differences you might notice on this video is just the differences between consoles.

True easy upgrade would be SSE with one of the wabbajack mod lists. Well, at least for those with a hefty PC to handle it. Elysium is so far my favorite. I've done a lot of manual modding 800+ mods and while it's fun and time consuming, definitely not as good and stable as some of the modlists, these guys definitely put a ton of work into it, way more work than Bethesda put into the annivarsary edition.

@@VamIy A beginner huh, it's really easy tbh. The first thing to do is get a mod manager, it's MANDATORY. Either *vortex* or *mod manager 2.* 1. Mods for Skyrim is 98 percent gonna be in good ol nexusmods, go there, go to mod pages, download them from the mod manager. 2. If they say the mods require prerequisites, download the prerequisites. 3. Install them, just click install in the mod manager really. That's all. 4. You're probably going to have skse64 as a requirement for script mods, download that and just drag and drop all the files in it to the Skyrim exe folder. Ok, so now, graphic mods. You're gonna want an *ENB.* There are many options for itz first, you want to have some weather mods that go along with an ENB, and texture mods that go along with it. My recommendation is. 1. Cathedral weather. 2. Rudy ENB for Cathedral weather 3. Skyrim 2020 texture pack. ENB needs some prerequisites to be downloaded, just download them. Basically some files from the guy that made ENB, Boris is his name. Go to his website, download it and drag and drop the inside to the game folder.

@@sean_mc plus it runs alot better, I heard that the mod uses half the gpu of the ps5 and the anniversary edition uses all of it so there is less stutter and it crashes less, also its load times for me if anything, I can load my game seemingly instantly if I press Square on my trophies for the game, it loads a fast travel from one end of skyrim to the other in like 3 to 5 seconds too, on ps5 its glitching out and crashing is fixed it seems for me, im level 40 now on ps5 and not had a single crash or bug, on ps4 I had alot of problems, on switch its god awful, the creation club stuff is decent too even tho its a bit pricy, ive played skyrim on ps4 so much but modded so no trophies, now I'm actually getting them and having stuff like camps and backpacks is a huge bonus to the standard trophy enabled no mod game, never thought I'd ever get a skyrim trophy again

So graphics aside , this is a very welcome update for anyone playing on anything with an X it's it's name. Can confirm that the One X/ Series X broken AO bug is finally fixed . The performance from what I have seen so far is also much more stable than FPS boost or the mod . Can't really complain for a free update

There is no difference in graphics but there is a noticeable difference compared to the original. Either way, the updated graphics in the Anniversary edition is still good enough, and you get more missions too, so that is good enough for me.

The special edition already ran in 60fps on the Series S and X though it did have a wierd stutter glitch that made you have to turn FPS boost on and off when quick resuming.
