With the new monster hunter stories 2 update 3 having just dropped! new monsties have been added in like soulseer mizutsune, elderfrost gammoth and oroshi kirin. However elderfrost gammoth is kinda tough so here is my tips & tricks for elderfrost gammoth in monster hunter stories 2!

This video is super helpful for me. There's been many times when I forget what types some monsters are when fighting and try to look them up asap but don't have enough time for the timer and end up going randomly I always try looking up for the fights on KZbin but can't find them. It might be a little personal issue but this is going to help me a lot. So thank you

I have checked and silver stomps damage can be reduced by breaking off its armor before it uses the move the body does not count towards this and you should not focus it

so shes still spamming power attacks apart from occasional danger AOE? might be less atrocious than soulseer was then, soulseer one shotted the AI a few times and they got wrecked pretty bad by her when she was enraged but fortunately i had a lv 79 boltreaver astalos ready for the carnage i knew soulseer would be a longer battle but it was a little longer than expected. luckily i went to straight to her so save timer since these battles are longer alone. also am i the only one who resets immediately if the NPC has a bow? they seem to code horribly anytime their bow users, all other ai weapons seem ok though, only issue is theyre always more fragile than my monster and person are which made velkhana and soulseer pretty tedious alone, id say velkhana was worse though also how do you recommend going about gene farming? i realize theres a lot of RNG even in co op dens but is there a specific place i can effectively power up any elder or deviant to maximize their damage output faster? i know to use early special lair for exp, thinking of using a rare ticket on the dlc element based dens to get the right elemental genes for element damage boost and such but other than getting duplicate eggs for them im not sure what else i should be going for

For the AOE just mount the turn and you'll survive with 1HP if I'm remembering correctly.

Got squashed again by EF Gammoth, least it was not an SR ticket this time. He is the reason I went back to rise for a couple weeks. I keep getting the partner you had in this video… I think he’s crap and eats up my ancient pots.

I wonder, since Gammoth has lots of HP and defense, is it possible to make a one hit KO set with ElderFrost? Like buffing and charging the hit. I don't have the game so I'm not aware of the win/loss ratio when it comes to genes
