This video was taken on August 28, 2024. It was a few days before she became ill. Nene enjoyed playing water and had a good appetite on this day. I sincerely hope Nene recovers. Also, viewing of western gorillas has been suspended. I have a lot of unpublished footages about gorillas and will upload those videos until the gorillas reopen to the public. The zoo needs to do a thorough analysis of them to find out if they have deficiencies I noticed that Nene and Annie licking the walls. There is a condition called Pica where there is a nutrient deficiency in iron, zinc or calcium. I noticed Shabani with a couple of spots and on Ai who has more spots where the fur has fallen off. If Nene is treated by a specialist in holistic health then her bones can heal. Perhaps they need more probiotics I noticed they have been getting yogurt they can add cod liver oil or something else depending on the chemical profile. But Nene has had a stroke which is not good because she wouldn’t be safe in higher levels. She needs to get individualized treatment in a close proximity to her family. The prognosis has many different factors to consider. Unfortunately the zoo directors are pretty hushed up on disclosing any information about the gorillas’ plans for their future. It would be reassuring to know that they have plans for the young gorillas and their future coupling to form their own families. They can’t be separated and they need partners from overseas to continue with the breeding of their own. So many concerns for their future.

I looked it up. Licking the walls means they are lacking certain minerals. One of the zoos gives them some kind of mineral sticks that helps with that

I just wish the zoo would let us know what they are doing for NeNe because it seems like all they’re doing is trying to get her to eat better which is important but not the only thing that they can do. So I wish they’d let us know the other things

Thank you so much for your evaluation, perhaps the zoo vets will read this and take the necessary medical action to provide a healthy balanced nutritional diet for the gorillas. And provide better medical care of Nene. I agree that Nene had a stroke as well. I just don't understand why the vets did not take immediate action sooner for her.

Bones do not heal once theee is a disease like Osteoarthritis, they degenerate and get worse. No naururopath will fix that. In the human world when a bone is in NeNe 's condition the surgeon replaces the diseased joint. I highly doubt is done in gorillas

Ik hoop echt dat nene .er weer de boven opkomt en inderdaad mischien moet er meer en goed gekeken worden naar hun voeding want ik heb nene en de andere ook vaak aan de muren zien likken. En ik volg nog meer gorilla groepen .maar heb dit ook nog niet eerder gezien dat andere gorillas dat ook deden. Maar ik hoop echt oprecht dat nene.weer een beetje beter. Wordt ondanks haar hoge leeftijd .❤❤❤❤

It’s amazing how much we all miss Nene. I can’t wait for her to join her family. Shabani loves Annie too much, & she has to be taught respect & kindness to show her love, not silly pranks. She can still do that to everyone, just not with Nene.

What a gorgeous old gorilla! :) I hope she feels better soon! I love that she was playing in the little pool and seeing the little dayflowers nearby. I don't think the gorillas appreciate the flowers though. They'd probably just eat them! :D

Lovely footage of Nene, thank you, for sharing, she has beautiful eyes and I always think she looks younger in those close up shots......poor Kiyo looks fed up, getting the glare stare from Shabani....hope they are all doing okay....until we see them again.

Shabani and his son, have been having more frequent days of tension and stress between them…..With all the injuries and wounds Nene has sustained the past couple of weeks, I think Kiyamosa knows he could not be equal in strength to his father so when his father puts pressure on, Kiyamosa backs down. Perhaps, he has been taking his frustration out on his mother because she can’t fight back. Nene has always defended her son at every episode with his father 🥺💕Prayers for Nene to be able to recover and the zoo find a place for Kiyamosa. He is very aggressive compared to other blackbacks who still live with their families.

Kiyomose is smarter not wiser as Shabani he’s is stronger spoiled both of the kids Annie mostly the boy wants Nene to help him,but she needs the help right now. He can’t figured that out in his head he’s grown his mom is very sick.theses animal kids. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Efectivamente Kiyosama es agresivo y se enfrenta a Sabanis pero no puede enfrentarlo Sabanis es muy fuerte y mantiene su liderazgo comparado con Gentaro hay gran diferencia ya Gentaro tiene s un local para el en el segundo piso hay mucha paz entre ellos pero Kiyosama enfrenta a Sabanis deben buscar su lugar

She looked so well,what a difference a few days made. I wonder did she have a stroke? Those falls really done damage. Poor nene❤ im sad that she always defended her son but when she needed him the most he didnt do the same but im thinking as a human,maybe its just not their way.

She got involved in a fight either directly or got in the middle of Sabani and Kiyo last week or so. She was bitten multiple times on her arms and also did something to her right hip/leg. The day after she seemed pretty traumatized but was improving a little daily until she started getting pushed around and climbing to heights she could easily fall from. Hence why the troop is off display. Nene can be treated and still have her family present.

無邪気で少女のようなネネさん。とても可愛いですね❤ ネネさんが体調を崩して以来、運動場を閉鎖していたのは、水に問題があったのでしょうか？いつも飲んだり浴びたりしている子ども達は免疫があり大丈夫でも、久しぶりに多量の溜め水を飲むのは、高齢のネネさんには良くなかったのかと思いました。ネネさんのアップ❤本当に可愛いですね！😊早く緑の草の上を走ったり、じゃれ合って転がるファミリーを見たいです。動画配信ありがとうございます。

運動場を閉鎖していたのは、万が一ネネが外で何かあったとしても飼育員さんが対応できないため、室内管理になったそうです。

急に体調を崩したのでどうしてだろう？と思っていました。誰かの攻撃で負った傷からの感染症が原因かもと考えましたが、おっしゃるとおり水が原因かも知れませんね😢ホントこの動画のネネさん、とっても可愛い🩷無傷だし。獣医さん、高齢だからと諦めずに、必ず治ると考えて、治療お願いします🙏

Nene seems to be suffering from some gastrointestinal issue...see how see is doubled up...trying to relieve gas..gorilla diet is hard for elderly to digest.. she needs to be separated & treated & have some comfort & peace ❤

Two days after this date, Nene was still healthy, so it is hard to believe that water was the cause. Besides, the water is tap water.☺️

Is there a news update on Nene? If and when she departs, I hope her family are allowed to spend time with her, so that they have closure, knowing that she's gone to a higher realm. They do that with captive chimps (in the UK and the USA) and it lays the foundation of recovery.

Could be ecoli poisoning , with them using the bathroom anywhere and everywhere there’s a good chance feces was in the water. Hope she recovers, it takes much longer for the elderly to heal. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙋🏼‍♀️

Have they tested that water?? I don’t think Kiyomasa drank any- she could have ingested a germ, bacteria, or parasite. Never seen her around that water before…
