I get there’s the whole master apprentice relationship but I feel like you kinda gotta repopulate the dragons logically? Like these are the only two dragons that aren’t insane and you don’t know for certain the other eggs will ever fall into elven hands

Saphira is less than a year old and Glaedr is centuries old. I think that’s a major factor, as much if not more than their student/teacher relationship. Also physically, Glaedr is at least 3 times her size. They aren’t compatible and Saphira refuses to accept it. It’s a mirror of the Eragon/Arya relationship, and shows Saphira’s immaturity and hypocrisy.
