@MaxTheAnimator // TanveerAnimatesBiggestHater how does thinking that an evil murderer has no remorse make you a feminist? Strange comment to make. Obviously have a thing against feminism which has nothing to do with this case whatsoever. Anyway I agree no remorse at all. Poor Karen. My heart aches for her family.

Many criminals get ideas from TV shows (in Breaking Bad they completely dissolved a body with acid). Or often they think you can turn a body to ashes just by lightning on an open fire (a very high temperature is actually needed, and the use of a type of furnace to achieve that temperature).

He used lye, which I'm pretty sure (given the right conditions) would have been able to dissolve her in the time given He just used it wrong. (Lye has to be heated to achieve the desired effect, as far as I'm aware. I think universities dispose of cadavers this way and it takes 5 - 8 hours - including time for heating and cooling. Even then it's mixed with water and bone shards and other stuff have to be crushed.)

Ladies (and gents!), when you’re on a night out-stick together. Don’t leave each other, keep an eye out for each other. So many cases where people are out, drinking and then one wanders off, leaves or is left behind and they go missing. It doesn’t matter what country you’re in, or how safe you think it is-accidents can happen and obviously there are evil people out there looking to prey on people left alone. Stay together, have fun together, STAY SAFE together 💜

My friend was on a night out with her friends, she was about 23, and they left her there alone. She came into work a few days later covered in cuts all over her face. Luckily, she'd just fallen over. But they all left her, intoxicated, alone, away from home and safety. I've never liked them since. They are not friends. I would and could never do that.

I'm actually from Glasgow and can still clearly remember this case. Everyone was just hoping that she had went off somewhere for a few days and would come back safe and explain where she had been but when we heard what had happened to her, everyone was devastated, even people that didn't know her personally where effected by what happened. Here, we see everyone as one of our own, even if you weren't born here or you're a tourist. The city's motto is actually "People make Glasgow" and I like to think that we have that saying for a reason.

Appreciate you covering Scottish cases 💕 my cousin was found dead on calton hill in Edinburgh, back in December of 2018, her name was mhari o'neill. Her autopsy came back inconclusive, so we still don't know what happened. The news tried to say she died of hypothermia but we know that wasn't possible, and the investigators told us so. There's a case currently open against the last person that was with her for culpable homicide, once the case is solved could you please cover it, as the news stopped posting updates back in January 😓 she needs justice and everyone besides family and friends seem to have forgotten 💜

Then goes home with him, sees that non-fitting mattress on the bed frame and still wanna have sex with him and then hurts her head so bad during said sex that it is bleeding and instead of going to the ER went home by foot. They always tell that the woman wanted sex with them so badly, and it is never true and you already know that it is not true when you see pics of the guys compared to the woman.

me and my girlfriends have certain rules that we stick to when going out, especially when people around you are drinking. 1. go to the bathroom in pairs. 2. always make sure you have a small purse which you have on you even while dancing. ( id phone and mace spray) 3. we make sure at least one person is sober (i dont drink so it is usually me) to make informed decisions 4. always know how you can safely return home. avoid public transport at odd times.(my case, i drive everyone home, make sure the are inside the building and then leave) 5. if you catch your drunk friend dancing with someone creepy, take her away. 6. have a group chat in which everyone drops texts whenever the estimated time of arrival is over in case you are taking an uber. 7. we make sure we call someone purposely to make the uber driver know the location and ride is being monitored.

Sodium hydroxide is an alkali and it’s really corrosive but it takes a lot of time for it to work as it actually needs time to break down the skin then the organs. Literally we chem students use it often even though it’s corrosive u can spill it on urself and sometimes not even feel it. Even acids take a lot of time to dissolve human flesh. It a common myth that acid dissolves flesh very quickly but it’s literally just a Hollywood myth that movies show for emphasis. Even the most corrosive acids and alkalis don’t dissolve bodies immediately when exposed to flesh. Xx I love ur vids so much I listen to them when revising for my chem degree.

@@jamie-leighgibson2338 Stop victim blaming. She said she was going to the bathroom, but she was most likely intoxicated, which could have made her go outside where she was abducted and murdered. Knock it off with the victim blaming, this is going to affect some people negatively.

He probably used a ruse to get her to follow him. Cause like her friends said, she wouldn’t have left without telling them. He may have asked her to help him look for someone or something important and she may have thought he was harmless so she walked off with him. I watch a LOT of Criminal Minds sorry 😂

as a glaswegian myself, i remember this case so vividly. watching the 6 o’clock news every night hoping that they’d found her safe and watching it the night the news broke that they’d found her. the disbelief and pure heartbreak in my family was unreal as we didn’t know her, but the whole community were hoping and praying for her safe return. amazing video as always eleanor x

WHY THE SODIUM HYDROXIDE DIDN’T WORK; My google history looks suspicious, but I found out why the sodium hydroxide didn’t work! You actually need to heat it for it to dissolve a body. If pressurized you can get the heat to 300°F and dissolve it in a couple (2-4) hours. If not pressurized you can only get it to about boiling point (212°F) and it can take much longer but still dissolve it within a day.
