There was also one quest when you helped Emma getting her horse (The Chincoteague Pony Muddy) when Scott Buttergood also wanted to buy that horse/pony and told us we should hurry up because it was almost sunset and his father will get up soon. That was the first time I got a bit suspicious. After I talked to him at the summer festival at Fort Pinta I was absolutely sure that it was a hint of Star Stable and when you look at their appearience they are - as you alrady said - really pale and that's also a sign of vampires. PS: I really love your vids keep going! 💕

Interesting theory. I'm wondering if the buttergoods that stand in the sun are only part vampire. Maybe the father married a mortal woman, and therefore the children would have less vampire powers (and weaknesses) Since Scott tells us his father can't go out at all during the day, I assume he is a pure vampire, with all the strengths and weaknesses. Just a thought. Edit: The offspring of a human and a vampire is called a Dhampir. They have certain powers, like eating human food and sometimes having a shadow, while being able to practice telepathy and other vampiric powers.

That could be 🤔 I also thought amongst the lines of them wearing hats to block out the sun, but then I realized that the third brother, Robert, doesn't wear a hat... it could be that Robert has been cured or inherited human traits from his mother, but your theory is probably more likely 🤔 I agree that it sounds like their father is "more" vampire than the brothers, and that would explain why he was never around when they were little. We also don't know how their mother died - it could be some spooky vampire stuff that killed her 🤔

Okay, there was a quest just released. Josh, with absolutely no shame, called Scott a bloodsucker. Along with other pieces of dialogue, I think it basically confirms that the Buttergoods are vampires.

I'm so glad you did this one! 💜 Also, during the Muddy quest, Junior refers to having to get home before it gets dark and his dad wakes up. He also talks about how important honey is for his father's tea in another quest. Perhaps they're mean to protect the community from harm? Also, apparently there is a feud between the Buttergoods and Winterwells which could be a vampire v. Warewolf thing since both families have been around for ages.

I did think amongst those lines too, but I couldn't find anythubg that was off about them 🙈 I didn't look too deep into that though, so it would be interesting to see if I could find anything to support that 🤔🤔 it would make sense since Scott specifically says vampires and werewolves, and the two families have had a feud for many generations and split epona in two. So if the Buttergoods are vampires then it only makes sense for the Winterwells to be the other 🤔

Also, in the newest quests, it's said that Valdemar remembers when Fort Maria was open, and apparently he is hardly seen or heard. So he stays inside all the time, out the sun.. This has actually been confirmed I think! In the Midsummer comic on the SSO Instagram in the epiloque part Alex mentions to Maya how she may or may have not raced with a vindictive vampire cowboy. She raced with Scott Buttergood! So there's more people that think or know Buttergoods are vampires. Thanks for the nice vid! ❤️

Also to add to that their father is called Vlad like the vampire Vlad the impaler. Idk which quest it was in but they did mention the name. I had this theory of Evelyn I think it is goldspur and her being one of the previous soul riders. She went missing and SSO has not given us any more info about her so yh. And from the epona beginning quests we know that the gold spurs know quite a bit about the runestones and druids. I also thought Mrs Holdsworth could have been one of the previous should riders because she knows so much about everything and we always have her to help us especially main story quests but then I realised she is kind of too old comparing to the others. In the quest where Emma gets Mudskipper, Junior Buttergood wants to buy Mudskipper from Kristy and he gets impatient and says that they should get it done quicker because the sun is about to set and his dad is about to wake up. So this is another hint to the Buttergoods being vampires, and pretty early too since that quest was released in 2019.

When we collect warm wish at the stable in Epona, there’s Scott i think talking about his „history”. It was about like dinner in theirs house, and at the end, they asked, if we would come. I'm kind of late to the party, but after gathering all the evidence, I truly believe that the Buttergoods are in fact vampires. In a newer Wildwoods quest with Gary Goldtooth, you travel to Starshine Ranch to free a horse Scott Buttergood was mistreating. Josh joins in on the fun, serving as a distraction. In Scott and Josh's dialogue, Josh frequently calls him a "bloodsucker" and things of that nature. The Buttergoods are also notoriously pale. Like c'mon, total vampire material.

More evidence includes: 1. Two have big hats. To avoid the sun perhaps? Most likely more than just to avoid getting sunburn. 2.Yellow, glowing eyes. Spooky and not exactly natural looking. 3. They seem kind of..buff? Yeah it sounds kind of dumb but it could be a sign of super human strength. 4. In his front yard you'll find a circle made of toadstools or a fairy ring, something you'd find in mythology involving curses. 5.They are creepy. I'm sorry. They just are. Hay I got more proof of this being real as well. I am April Mistclaw on SSO and I play just about daily, Which Means I check Ydris quite often. Ydris at one point did tell me about vampires being in Jorvik and even one has been following us from the very start of our adventure in Jorvik. Something to add on to the theory There father's name is Vlademar, which is a name used in a lot of vampire movies. Robert is the only " good " character and the only Buttergood brother without a cowboy hat, I'm guessing Scott is more " Neutral " and Junior is " Bad ", so it get's worse as they age? You know in vampire movies, the vampires have ring's to protect them from the sun, but if it's Scott's and Junior's Cowboy hat, and Robert used or never was a vampire? I already have that theory, but I haven't looked into the evidence 🤔🤔 I'm not sure if there's a lot of it, but if the Buttergoods are vampires then it definitely would make sense for the Winterwells to be werewolves
