I am so glad that I've listened to this absolute truth of this message if the gospel. I've listen to others of Voddie's G-2 team of giid teachers, as I come to call them, the apostles of today. I know, there are no more apostles that exist. But they all teach the same. I thank God for Voddie Baucham message on the elect and predestination. I understand it because I heard messages on it before, and I truely believe it, because I have followed it throughout the word of God in my Bible. Wow Wow Wow you have so clearly confirmed all that the Holy Spirit given me the understanding of Election the Holy Spirit revealed what God's word is saying God gets all the Glory and rightly so. We must be careful not to rob God how is it possible to Steal from God by saying it my cleverness that I was able to get the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection. I love this man, Paul Washer and Gino Jennings (of course besides my Pastor 😌) Dr Voddie is such a teacher and a great blessing to not only me but many others. In love, as much as I love Voodie, he has made a serious error in his teaching. He has assumed something. He has added and input his assumption into the text. The text teaches that God chose Jacob over Esau in order to keep the promise God gave to Abraham. Voodie said this and that part is absolutely true. But Voodie assumed the promise is salvation. He input that idea of salvation being the promise into the text since the text never said salvation. Then Voodie uses his assumption seem to be more reasonable by presenting poor examples of other interpretations to make his look better. Voodie is pushing the Calvinistic doctrine by adding salvation into the passage when it does not say the election was for salvation. Instead, the passage actually teaches us that the election was for the promise God gave to Abraham. And that promise was that God was going to produce a messiah that will come out of Abraham’s seed. God promised Abraham that all peoples will be blessed through him. Gen 12:3 That is what the promise was. Jesus would come out of the line of Abraham, then Isaac, then Jacob, and so on. And God elected exactly who specifically would carry that line down to Jesus. That is why God elected people. Somehow, Calvinists changed election to mean God chose people to salvation, and that idea is not found in these verses.

It's a baby crying (or praising God - haha). Pastor Voddie has a true church in that - children attend the service just like everybody else. When the Apostle Paul was teaching, families walked for miles and miles to get to where Paul was (to attend the sermon, so to speak). Then they sat for hours listening. Most often they listened for up to 11 and 12 hours at a time - or as long as Paul would preach! Talk about "Hungry for the word of God". Talk about knowing they "needed clear-cut instruction". Talk about Blessed!

Because if this is about, you are predestined, then it is a demonic teaching he is from the devil it is itching ears preaching the devil comes as an angel of light. The devil knows how to take the word of God and twisted, just as he did with Jesus in the garden… Anybody who believes you are predestined is lost the scriptures are clear Jesus says anyone who is thirsty may come come in revelation the angel tell John anyone who is thirsty, come and new people are insane. He’s not going to Israel. He’ll be in town visiting family. Maybe we can do a Holy Spirit challenge… I don’t do any sports. I didn’t play junior high or high school any sport. Maybe we could do a punt path and kick contest, field goal, free-throw, three-pointer, maybe something real active like tennis, at 10:/40 and 100 yard dash I don’t speak so well, and I do not seem, but I would challenge him on a song to see who can bring the Holy Spirit touch, at least one person’s life, if not the entire place, and the dance contest. Maybe I’m wrong and he’s not preaching your predestined, but it sure seems like that’s what it is and isn’t that what Calvinism is and reformed demonism I mean reform Baptist I mean reformed demons When you have to add anything to the Bible or lay it next to the Bible, it is a doctrine of demons Paul washer… No, I don’t go to Paul washer and push his preachings but there’s a couple of things he said that are pretty good and if he preaches predestination and Calvinism, the same goes for him .

I think you need to listen to the Sermon again. Also read Romans. No one seeks God without God first regenerating them. Dig deeper and read ‘Chosen by God’ by R. C. Sproul.

The scenario you are presenting isn't biblical. No one repents unless they are called. There are only the rebellious, carnal men and the God-regenerated, born again men. There is no third class of men wanting to be elect but aren't chosen.

I do not believe salvation is a choice between Arminianism and Calvinism... as if there are no other possibilities. Paul stated, "I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ for a different gospel, which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ." Galatians 1:6-9. Read the Bible to learn, to see, and to believe. That is how God "draws" you. Do not buy into the idea that "some" were "elect." God did not choose you; he gifted you the ability to choose him. That is God's gift to you, and all that come can be redeemed through Christ.

I'm a fan of Voddie because he is very articulate in his understanding of Scripture. Unfortunately he's way off the mark in reference to Election, Predestination and the Chosen. Free will in scriptures is just that. For a really good interpretation of the above mentioned simply search Kevin Thompson videos on said such doctrines.

I'm with you. I binged on Voddie sermons until I hit this. You might be interested in "Determined to Believe?" by John Lennox. As with any outside reference, take it with a grain of salt and dig into scripture. That said, this book by Lennox helped me immensely - it's clear, unassuming , non-doctrinal and very much relies on scripture.
