Wow, you have some skills. Welding, fabricating, setting up a RPI for data collection. Nice work man!

Thank you!

I have to say your editing skills are pretty good, getting the photos to change to the beat of the backing music is a nice touch. Everything on the tractor is so well laid out & put together.

Good job! I am looking to maybe do something like this and this was valuable insight :)

Love the ingenuity in your build!!! It’s really amazing. Can you tell us how you have things wired?

Was there a reason why you chose seperate drive motor for deck and the drive? Could a single motor replacing the ICE be used to simplify the swap (then use factory belt drive arrangement for deck/drive)

You could use a single motor, but I didn't want to just have a motor running at full tilt. I think this setup is more efficient because I can electronically control how much power goes to the blades, how much to the drive, etc. There are a couple of other conversion videos out there that show a like-for-like swap.

Is the 3kW enough power for the two blades? I would assume that 500-1000W for propulsion should be ok, but cutting and even spinning 2 blades will take quite an effort, that is why I was considering for my conversion to use much stronger motor

This is a smaller deck at 38 inches. There was more than enough motor this fall with all the leaf cleanup. Never once did it bog down or try to stall.
