with this settings, is it possible to program my 250w bafang engine(rks engine) to 500w ? we have restricted in Turkey on this engine.

So, you wont be able to make it 500W but you can make it 350W. Some bafang 250W motors came with the "maximum current" settings enabled, that means you can increase from 15A to 20A and make your motor considerably stronger! Hi Felipe! Well, I got my Bafang02 installed and it is everything I had hoped it would be. I enjoyed a fantastic mountain bike ride today and it climbed it like a beast. The stock 44T chain ring matched really well with my 11-46 cassette. I was climbing incredibly steep terrain and never needed the lowest three cogs of the cassette. It was crazy. A 46t Blingring would definitely work with that cassette and maybe even a 52t. When I got home I wanted to change a few settings in the software program which downloaded easily onto my PC. After attaching the cable to the controller/display connection I was hoping it would connect after inputting the port number found from device manager (thanks for that tip!). But my battery does not have an on/off button like the one in your video. It is a mini cube and only turns on from the controller which I had to disconnect for the pc cable. So, I couldn’t get connected. When climbing switchbacks I discovered I need to always be in assist level one as it would accelerate way to fast in all other levels and then I’d quit pedaling and I’d instantly lose all my momentum and miss the switchback. Anyway, starting up from a stop in my lowest gear it seemed like it took a full revolution before the assist kicked in and then it seemed like it kept accelerating even after I quit peddling for a second or two. I wanted to see if I could change some parameters through the software. I’m not sure my mini cube will allow it though if I can’t manually turn the battery on. 😕. Do you have any ideas to get around that issue? Gracias. 👍

Hey Max, I missed your comment. Could you turn on the battery to program your ebike? I would suggest using a power supply or alligator clips to maintain the battery out the frame and bring the energy to bike. There are many settings on the software that could help with the problem you're having, lets go step by step.

@@Cyberbikesau Hi Felipe. Yes, I had figured that out and was able to custom program. I forget now exactly what I did. 🫤 Anyway, I changed settings about 6 times one evening to see the differences in performance after each. After the sixth time everything quit working. The dealer said I had probably torched the controller. He said the warranty doesn’t cover custom programming. They did however agree to cover that one. I had them program the new one for mountain bike applications and I have been happy with it ever since. They said it was very odd that that had happened, but I am not going to open it up again. My mini cube battery also failed early on in mid ride. Fortunately I had a backup with me. They warrantied that too but it has left me wondering how dependable all the electronic parts are. I kind of feel like I should be carrying a spare battery and a spare display at all times. Thanks for checking back. Best to you.

@@peacelovegoldenrule what a story Max, yes if the programming is not done right it could damage the motor or burn the controller, for example, maximum current at start up, if set above 50% it will damage the motor. About your battery, could be that the current of the controller is set too high and the battery is cutting off. Also, water infiltration could be the reason why the battery stopped working.

Brother i have an issue with battery 🔋 my lcd shows that my battery is 20% and when i check my battery bar its 2 green bar remains and the motor not working the watss i received 184w max speed im very upset what i do please tell me is this lcd issue the model of lcd is p860c and the bafang 750w battery is champrider 48v 25

Set it to display voltage rather than %. Far more reliable and accurate reading

@@TrippinTafty display is 26% and voltage is 47.5 and the motor has no power when it is low mode 🥺😐

nope you will damage the motor connecting a battery of higher voltage. To improve performance you could buy a 36V 20Ah+ or buy a new 48V motor

Do you know this can now be done using a SPEEED app and your smart phone? I have used it but something has disconnected my Pedal Assist and I have to use my throttle all the time. Is there a switch that can do this?

We havent used the SPEEED app, do you need to connect a bluetooth dongle on the display cable? Theres no button on the original bafang software, but there are ways to disconnect the PAS or throttle in the software.

@@Cyberbikesau No, unfortunately. But it shows the range of options and the Help part is quite comprehensive. I feel that Bafang should provide the defaults but apparently each seller has different settings.

​@@KeithAVass I've got this same issue used speeed app to change settings and now my pedal assist is completely gone. Not really sure why but it was working fine before so I'd say it's a software issue.
