@@FATBIKERIDER Excellent just waiting on my lead to arrive have already got the Speeed app on my phone so going to try them settings. only fitted my motor a few days ago and after a 30 mile test run I think things need improving. thanks

@@FATBIKERIDER I'm going with Pennoff too, with a couple changes. So I bought the Luna Lumenator display/headlight combo (2 of them actually) and they switched up the male/female connection on the display. I have to find a male/male wire to attach to the programming wire.

That's just showing your controller voltage, the newer version is 52v, but if you use a battery lower than 52v the display never shows 100% charge it's always around 70%, I had to flash the 48v firmware so I could see the correct battery level using a 48v battery, plus it gave me more current, 30amps, because the new versions max is 28amps. There is also some custom firmware which will increase it to 32amps, but there wasn't a stable build when I last looked.

yes mine was locked to 28amps when new I had to put a firmware on to unlock to 30amps but my display shows 58v 100% when fully charged

@@FATBIKERIDER yeah I think mine shows 52.6v I think lithium cells are 4.2v each when fully charged as opposed to the 3.7v they are labelled with

Hi there I’m looking at buying a full suspension carbon mid drive bafang 1000w 510 ultra… but having seen a number of vids on KZbin I don’t think this bike is legal… could you tell me how you make this work on this bike please

Not many bafang motors are, the newer ones have various Street legal settings on them, but it looks like bafang are trying to lock things down because you can't use software to program them like these ones, so your stuck with factory settings. Crazy really, because that is the main reason a lot of people go for this brand.

So the Speed Limits are % of the display... but what do you set the display to??

It is good to know that I can fiddle with the settings if I get a Bafang motor.

One of the best features, although the bbshd is not so customisable, you can't get software like this to mess about with it, bafang are tightening things up now. So if you like to tinker stay away from the newer motors, I think it's now called the 625, not bbshd, apparently production of the BBSHD will stop soon, and one guy said because of this the BBSHD is increasing in price.
