J why don't u use the existing electric choke wires under the hood there coming out of the right side when your under the hood there 2 green wires they have 12 volts on them when u check wit a ohm meter..and I think Lowe's or home depot or Harbor freight..has thoes strippers I used to have a pair they don't work that well they slip a lot...and u can use your test light to git switched power up under the hood put you test light on ground and touch the green wires under the hood where they used to be.you don't need to run all them wires you do..the original wiring will work fine for the choke and your fuel pump..you see that big loom of wires your hand hit thats where thoes wires are that went to the choke..how I know this my dad has and had same Monty Carlo we have a 1983 it's the same wireing.. Buick fan shroud around 1980's have the same one it will fit your car...
