Electric Fan Conversion Chevy Truck
Today we have our 1998 Chevy S-10 in the shop with the 4.3 V-6
This conversion can be done using the same basic steps I go over in this video, whether its a v-6, or v-8, late 80s to early 2000 trucks and then some.
Some specific details or locations may be slightly different but overall the system is the same.
We opted to allow our fan to run only when the key is in the on position, that way it will not drain your battery when you shut the vehicle off. You could also wire it to an auxiliary switch but you have to remember to turn it on or off.
We choose the Jegs brand electric fan for our job because they have excellent pictorial directions that are easily understood but you can use most any electric fan, just make sure it provides enough CFM to keep your engine cool.

What "key on" fuse did you plug into under the fuse panel? I'm going to do this the exact way you did it. Great video.

Unfortunately I don’t have that truck anymore but I believe it was the radio feed. Honestly just check with a test light to find a key on source, you may fine an empty slot
