We did the same thing to our rig last year. Becky absolutely loves it, and it cut down on our propane usage tremendously. Nice job!

Oh my gosh, a fireplace in a stream would be perfection! Are there any airsteam models that have a fireplace? I’ve never seen one.

Not that I’m aware of. We thought about putting one of those stand alone ones in, but we couldn’t figure out where we’d put it and store it when we weren’t using it. The design looks more like an old coal burning stove. 😂😂

@ not yet we will be heading to the Richmond Fairgrounds this upcoming weekend to look for a towable. Hopefully we can have one by the beginning of summer. Trying to purchase something my brother and I can both tow. As a newbie do you feel we should go used or new?

@@girlsluvhemis2 That's a great question. If you can find "gently used," go for it! We lean towards new but haven't ever seen something "gently used" enough for us. I hope that helps!

That was our big hesitation. We re-worked the storage and lived with the cabinet empty for several months before we committed to the fireplace. It's so worth it! It looks gorgeous and heats the rig up perfectly!

One bounces up and down on the road. I would have placed some sort of blocking at the bottom of the cabinet before placing screws on thin plywood at the face.

I did mine also but it said to leave 12 inches of space around and not to cover vents. You had any issues with venting

We haven’t had any issues. There is space behind the unit and the vents are not covered. Hope that helps!
