Fun little adventure Stefan. I certainly would appreciate if you went through the charging procedure and hardware used to charge the glider as I have an interest in the next few years to purchase such a glider and do safaris like you have done and would interested to see what is involved and what the challenges might be.

Hello Stefan. Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Im an old glider pilot that havent flown in years, but many times dream back to those days as they were full of fantastic and memorable moments.. One of those discussions we often had was the discussions of electrical powered motorgliders - something none really regarded as a serious discussion back then. But now here, you show a video with a perfectly well fitted electrical glider. Somehow this brings an even bigger smile to my (old) face. Happy flights!

Nice, fun to watch you fly when all of us are on the ground for the winter. Where to go? , it would be a long shot for you - summers are short - but Wa state is pretty darn nice. Big mountains, an amazing plateau, volcanoes, glaciers, desert terrain - lots of relatively unlandable terrain. You could break all the state records in that as-33, although well give you some solid competition.

Smooth calm glides. Another plus for enjoying the air. Tell us more about the extension cord. Was it old or long? Was it a repaired end that overheated?
@SteFly
@SteFly 2 ай бұрын
I´m not completely sure what caused the problem. My guess is salt water air corroded the power outlet and the contact resistance was too high, which caused a lot of heat. At the end we were lucky, that nothing burnt.

i see you're not wearing ear protection so how loud is it inside? My clubs Grob G103 c Twin III SL is super loud and we need to wear headphones when the engine is running.

It´s an electric motor but of course the propeller also makes vibration and a sound. The noise is still ok to hear the radio and much better than combustion engines.

Tolle Saison, Stefan.
@SteFly

@Ca99-iz2ey
@Ca99-iz2ey 2 ай бұрын
