I bought a foot pedal at harbor freight. Use a trigger clamp to hold the button down. That's my one handed operation.

Gotta say, that switch lever, one hand operation is genius! I was gonna do foot switch and a extender since I don’t want a stand nor want to be down in my knees. BTW that two hand operation is a safety design for like morons that sue bc their coffee was too hot and got burned bc of it. 🤦🏻♂️ This safety features ACTUALLY makes it unsafer for us folk that have enough common sense to not fall out our beds in the morning 😆 Gonna try to steal your switch idea but with an extension so heavy longs stay as close to the ground as possible. Thanks dude! Best idea I’ve seen in a while 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Got my handy 6 today been in in face already 😂 the push foot ram has a bulge on its face I feel it needs a spike to stop logs jumping

A good idea to move that switch. On mine my arm is in the way of exploding logs and I have been hit once already!

Cool deal. Does the axe head help splitting larger stuff as well? Hinder? Thanks for sharing!

Typically to cut kindling I'm only using pieces of wood that I've already split . The unit works exactly how it would if it were unmodified

Have you tried splitting bigger pieces with the axe mod yet? It seems like it would ease the load when splitting because of better penetration.
@davidlacroix84967 ай бұрын
@@barrygolden9823 , the splitter works awesome on larger pieces as well I believe the splitting Ram has a rating of about 5 tons so it handles larger unsplit pieces as long as it's not nasty swamp Maple where the grain of the wood goes in 26 different directions

Where did the "Stand " come from? Did you fab it up?
@davidlacroix8496 Жыл бұрын
No this is the stand that comes with it...

Definitely not a welder,pretty unimpressive looking welds.

Welding wasn't the topic. Unimpressive comment..

The welds were meant to be ugly so that they held a piece of wood from slipping off of the rounded face so I had to build up a booger stack
