This report conveniently ignores the fact that Lion Electric is expected to soon file for bankruptcy. These buses will never be fixed. And I would be willing to bet that the school district sold off its gasoline powered buses.

'Never" is kind of a strong word here. Bankruptcy doesn't necessarily mean the assets don't get purchased and continued. GM and Chrysler both went bankrupt but both continue to produce and support cars (that's two out of the Big Three).

@@geirgaseidnes7809 Proterran is a much bigger electric bus company that also went bankrupt and has been broken up and sold off. Proterra left many cities and towns in the dust, including swanky Jackson, Wyoming. Major companies like Ford and Mercedes are totally re-thinking their commitment to electric vehicles after losing tons of cash. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for little Lion to rise again.

Norway has a ton of electric vehicles doing fine in the cold. The technology can handle it, this sounds more like a manufacturer specific issue, maybe software involved. Lion is a new start up, if they stay in business long enough they can make it work. Oshkosh is struggling to make those electric postal vans, they should have provided close to 3000 by now, but they have only built about 300. Electric vehicles sound simple to make, but lot of companies struggling to learn something new.

@garychiastawa8277 is this Norway's first year with them? We haven't seen the really cold weather yet.... Have you ever experienced the heater in an electric vehicle? They're complete rubbish! They don't work below 40° and draw huge amounts of power from the batteries. Electric vehicles are not at all simple or cheap to build. The batteries have to be replaced at least every 2 years and that costs in the tens of thousands for a small vehicle. Imagine what it costs for a bus!
