Aspirante Electric Shower 9.5Kw about 18 months old No hot water! Cold water flows I have follwed your guides. The TCO upper has continunity, (Checked in situ, not disconnected), as has the lower TCO continuity. Both Heater Cans show resistance as does the Solenoid Valve. I know this should not be tried! I pressed each of the tiny heater solenoids contacts on the PCB board with a screwdriver whilst the front cover was removed but front cover cable attached to PCB. Wow! The water flow got Hot! On releasing the pressure on each heater Solenoid Contact Points, the water ceases being heating. Now at a loss of what the problem is! Bye the way, the various switches on the cover appear to click ok.

I've just made an order on your site for a solenoid and microswitch for a Neptune Solo having watched this video and the instructional one on fitment. Thank you very much 🙂 One criticism:- my unit is discontinued, so I cannot get a replacement value, therefore I will need to salvage the old one and I risk damaging an o-ring in the process. I have had to order a selection of o-rings on Amazon just in case. I would have though you guys could put together a smaller pack of common shower o-rings yourself that people would happily order alongside your spare parts. It would compliment the silicone grease pot you already sell.

Thanks for all you do, very helpful. I have problem for anyone to comment on..... Triton T300si shower, 3 weeks old, the boiler was moved and since that happened the shower light for low pressure in on with cold water only. A pump was installed and is providing 1.6 bar at 12 ltrs a min to the shower. However the shower does not let any additional flow through and is still exactly the same. My theory is that when the boiler was moved they cut into the cold main (obviously) and this let the water out of the heating element. When the boiler move was completed, they did not purge the shower and subsequently the element has blown or something....? Any thoughts would be helpful.

Hopefully channel is still active. My issue is when you press the 'on' button, the shower will only come on for less than a second and then turns off. Every know and again on its own accord it will turn on as expected and work fine?

My Creda 950DL electric shower doesn’t work properly. The Mid LED light stays off - water runs cold at full pressure. Turned the water flow dial to extreme hot - then water gets lukewarm, while the flow from the showerhead is weak. Both High LEDs stays on, while the Mid LED stay off. After watching your repair video, I tested components… I then tried to remove component/s. However, after spending about an hour trying…I found they were not straightforward to remove. I then replaced the cover and left it. I suppose because the Creda 950DL is so difficult to repair, why there is no information online showing how to repair them??? So, I guess it's a new shower?!

Hi George, we have a manintenance contract on our central heating and recently called them out as our central heating was not working. The engineer fixed the issue but we noticed that our Mira Sport electric shower would not work when switched on - no water was coming through it. We tried it a few times but still nothing coming through despite the power light i identified that the problem was that the engineer had disconnected the cold water feed to the shower when he was checking the central heating pressure valve. He did not reconnect the water feed to the shower. I reconnected the feed and the water came through the shower but was running cold. So I have 2 questions. 1. What do you think the issue is? 2. Could this have been caused by turning the shower on without any water feed being connected ie is the fault caused by the engineer not reconnecting the cold water feed?

Hi. I just wanted to get some advice if I may please? My girlfriend took a shower yesterday and since she finished using it and switched it off by the button, the shower head continues to drip water as if its not turned off properly. The drip is not the equivalent of if it was turned on fully. It's like as if, if it had a faucet, the faucet wouldn't be fully turned for it to be off. I've unscrewed the hose from the bottom and theres water coming out of the bottom. If theres a faulty part I can replace, I'd be happy to have a go at repairing it. I replaced the solenoid valve on this shower thanks to your KZbin video a few months ago when the shower wasn't coming on any more and it fixed it! My shower is a Triton Rapide 3+.

Very informative video but one fault that is very common but not mentioned here is the persistent dripping from outlet pipe even when shower is off. PRD ball still in place, shower works fine otherwise, could it be solenoid in some way or some deposit sitting somewhere preventing a valve from closing, any ideas? I have this problem and I know others who have had it and just bought a new shower!

Hi, just wanted to ask, what if the isolation switch doesn’t switch off or on? Mine is stuck on ‘on’ and won’t turn off, I have to hold the switch at an angle for the shower to turn on. Does that mean it’s the selonoid valve or something else? If anyone could shine some light I would be very grateful please 😢

In number 1, by not enough power are you referring to the pressure being low? That is the issue with my t90sr. The flow is basically non existent and the water is always at the hottest when when you adjust the temperature

Thanks and well done......But, you have missed a quick wee bit of info you could have used. The solenoid valve can fail in both the open and closed position........So No water and also constant water. Which is the problem I have.

Good Morning I have watch a couple of your videos but have not found my fault but that could just be down to me; OK see if I can explain the problem! I went to have a shower yesterday and there was no water the pull cord showed it was on with a red light the shower had a red light but not water? I know it is getting on a bit so thought I will buy a new one fitted in turned the power on pulled the cord red light came on turn the new shower on and blow me there was no waster. As it was getting late I left it until this morning but what I did badd idea or not I fitted a cable to the old shower and switched it on and i could hear the pump so put a pipe on and it pump it out ( not very fast but the water was not under pressure ) so what could this be any help is well come.

hi, Doc The trip fuse in the fuse box keeps tripping . We have a trition 7kw hand water heater just fitted, as DIy., the fuse in the isolate switch is 13 amp and does not blow. can you explain ?

Most showers, it's the motor that goes isint it? Would it be cheaper just to replace the motor? Or would the cost of labour be higher? I live in Ireland Also where would you get the motor from? Appreciate your reply's!

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. My Mira shower was cutting out after just a few minutes.No one wanted to look at it, just replace the whole unit, nearly £300 for the unit plus fitting. I watched your video and decided it was the solenoid cell, bought one for £13.50, and found someone prepared to fit it for £20! Shower back working properly. Delighted. Thank you.

My Shower unit a Mira Sprint, Seems to be perpetually too hot. The regulator seems to have no effect on the amount of heat. If I drop the regulator to less than half the capacity the Low Flow light comes on and the water gets very cold. So it is either far too hot or far too cold. Do I need to change the Thermal cut out?

I recently bought a Triton T80Z 10.5 KW from your good selves. It works fine but the thermal cut out is operating prematurely for my requirements. I need to hot shower for more than the normal time. There are thousands of eczema sufferers who get relief by hot showering. Is it possible to get a less sensitive TCO? My old Galaxy Aqua 3000 (obtained from your good selves) did not have this premature cut-out and that lasted over ten years. I tried to get a replacement but as you know they are no longer available.

My Bosh water heater is brand new, my water connections are brand new. What did I do wrong? My problem is that I set the water at a comfortable position, after few seconds, the water temperature starts getting hotter and hotter until I can´t tolerate it. I Adjust the water faucet to get more cold water, and it works but just for a few seconds again. I keep adjusting the water faucet until the heater stops working because the low flow. What can it be my problem? I have a main 3/4 line, I put a T to get cold water to my shower, about 2 feet I put another T to get could water to my sink, then from the same main line I put another T for my toilet. From the toilet line I put a T to get cold water to my tankless water heater. On my water heater outlet I put another T to feed hot water to my sink and my shower. What am I doing wrong?

Hey there, was hoping for a bit of advice. Pretty sure the PRD has gone in our shower as there is water coming from the bottom of it. It's not a 'leak' though as it's coming out with a lot of force and is draining almost all of the pressure from the shower. We have a Triton T70si and it's coming from around the middle of the unit rather than where the hose connects - I had a look at your PRD replacement video and you replace a part that is connected to the hose which threw me off a little bit (as I said the leak isn't coming from the hose it's from the centre of the shower) Does this mean I need a different part as I'm probably gonna do this as a DIY job.

I have a triton aspirante topaz 10.5kw. All turns on fine and good flow of water however only cold water comes out. If i give the shower unit a smack on the bottom right then the water heats up and then all works fine. Only i have to bang it each time i turn it on to get hot water. Hi Shower Doctor, my shower started to spew out boiling steam when I finished showering last night. I jumped out and turned it off from the pulley switch. Tired to use it again today and could clearly smell burning. Few seconds went by and the shower immediately turned off by itself, I think perhaps the motor has gone. Could you please shed some light on that the problem could be.

Hello , Hope someone can help with this I've recently started to install a Triton Aspirante shower but when I've gone through the instalation and becoming stuck on getting any water to flow through. I've followed the steps in guide and got to turn knob all the way clock wise and put cover on without the cable installed ,then turn water on and power on then water should come through slowly and I'm suppose to turn any I clockwise to prime and to get all residue out . But nothings happening .... Can anyone assist , and help I'll be great full

I've recently had a replacement 10.5kw shower fitted as my old one was displaying fault number 1. After watching this troubleshooter video I put a electrical test meter across the micro switches on the old unit. Sure enough one of the pair of micro switches that connect the heat elements is faulty.

Hi George. I replaced my solinoid valve and the water ran fine again and the shower was hot. I left it running for 5 mins and then I stepped in to have a shower but by this time the water temperature dropped dramatically and i tried everything including a continuity test on the TCO switch and it was fine so I'm baffled now as to the newest problem. possibly a heating element issue I'm just not sure.

My T80 SI is leaking from the seal at the top of the Shower Flow Valve, it looks like some sealant was used, that is where the water beads out slightly. Hardly noticeable until the shower has been running for about 10 minutes. What type of sealant should I use to fix it?

I am a bit confused. The main power supply works but my Electrolux electric shower has no power at all. It let's the water in and out but doesn't heat it up. I replaced both relays/switches but it didn't change anything. Could it be solenoid? Tco? Thanks for your input guys!

hi I have a t70 gsi+, since it was first fitted it never is really that hot, I adjusted the mains water valve down to just above the minimum 0.7 bar setting. when I drop below that it switches the elements of so that part is working but the only way I can get any heat is just above this but the pressure out of the shower is pathetic. it seems as if it's only using one element when there's too much pressure. It's really hit and miss to get it right

My shower is too hot on the high setting (even on the lowest temperature) but too cold on the Eco setting, even on the highest temperature. It is annoying. :(
