What's it like to drive an electric Triumph Stag? How easy is it to convert to electric using one of our kits?

I understand why you offer this and I can respect that option but my Stag will retain the gorgeous V8 burble that it was designed with. Unlike many classics, the Stag is one with a huge history that revolves around the unique engine. :)

I’m not anti electric - I drive a Audi etron and have just ordered the etron GT - BUT . This is a no from me ! The main attraction of the stag is the sound of the V8!

I really like the idea of converting some of these old classics to EV, but with the Stag the original really had a fantastic engine noise as part of it's character. I'd be inclined to add one of the fake engine noise generators to the kit - even though I generally hate fake noises. My greatest memories of the Stag is the awesome noise that the V8 made (when the original was working lol). Here in Australia a relatively common mod was to replace the V8 with one from the locally built Leyland P76. Still had a great noise but was more reliable. Being able to turn the noise on and off would be great, use the noisemaker to keep the original character, but be able to go into stealth mode with a flick of a switch.

We can offer noise , in fact the actual original Stag engine was recorded - we have a sound specialist working with us - but so far none of our customers have requested it. We have taken note of your comment though!

In Scotland, the in thing to do was replace the whole engine with a rover V8, vroom vroom.

Nice conversion. Where I live in Spain the authorities always insist everything must be sustainable etc, more EVs etc. But they don't install more chargers. They promised for years but they don't bother.

it's great that this electric pak will keep a lot more stags on the street.. but wat i find is that there is not much thought that goes into the look of the cover for the batteries,no detail design. (just metal panels folded and screws)

suspect a blue printed stag engine with efi upgrade would be cheaper, might even re-engineer to take Sprint 16 valve heads too - I have driven EV for 2.6 yrs and love it.....but...A Stag has one of the very best sounding engines I have ever witnessed - a subtle organic version of a TVR :) If engines are ever outlawed, then an EV conversion would do nicely....but for me, not until then @@johnbrown6666
