@@amiraliaali to transfer maximum power impedance of the source must be equal to impedance of the load as the prof said so the two impedances are equal which means half the voltage drop across each one and the total power in the circuit is divided on them equally which is why it's 1/2 VI or 1/2 I^2 * R,
