Great video. However the Fluke T+ Pro and the Klein aren't solenoid testers, they actually use solid state circuitry to get the reading. Safer than the old ones with a solenoid.

Cody Pike you’re absolutely correct sir, thank you its been noted and I stand corrected. I’m glad you found the video interesting. It would be a pleasure to have you hang around my channel. If you’re not already connected to the channel please do so or stay tuned because there’s more videos to come. Be safe sir.

Great review. I do like that little Klein unit, unusual for that style of meter to have removable test leads.

The KLEIN tester is really nice, I love the features and the accuracy while taking measurements. And it doesn’t feel cheaply manufactured like I speculated. It’s worth the money.

The little fluke is a fun little meter , wish it could do amps
@TheElectriciansToolChannel4 жыл бұрын
It is a very very nice tester Mike, but if you’re interested in an Fluke electrical tester that does amperage measurements take a look at the Fluke T5 or T6 Continuity, Current Electrical Tester. And let me know what you think sir ?
@adventurish91974 жыл бұрын
I had the T5 and love the attached leads so I got the pro+ after and it is a verrrry good pocket meter and all the journeyman dig it. With more time in the trade smaller and convince seems to matter more

What is the purpose of a solenoid tester? When would you use one instead of a DMM or Clamp Meter? it looks like they do the same thing but with less accuracy... there must be something i'm not seeing here. Is it because it isn't effected by "Ghost Voltage"?
@TheElectriciansToolChannel4 жыл бұрын
If you’re talking about the IDEAL INDUSTRIES SOLENOID TESTER ? That’s old technology it was convenient to use back in its time than a clamp meter. When taking a measurement with the solenoid tester you’re able to clip the test probe to the instrument. Unlike with a clamp meter you couldn’t do that you had to lay the meter down and use both hands to take your measurements. Solenoid testers are not True RMS i they’re average ranging plus it’s built like an Abrams Tank. The other two test instruments aren’t considered solenoid testers they’re called ELECTRICAL TESTERS because it doesn’t have a solenoid instead it has a circuit board. And just like the older solenoid testers they’re very convenient to use for basic electrical installations and troubleshooting. Now the electrical testers of today are not built tough as the solenoid testers of yesterday. That’s just my opinion sir, have a great day.

The Fluke is NOT a solenoid tester !
@TheElectriciansToolChannel Жыл бұрын
You’re absolutely correct after viewing the video I heard myself saying that all four testers were solenoid testers. That was a mistake the only solenoid tester is the Ideal Industries . The other three testers have circuitry inside of them. Thanks for pointing that out to my thanks for watching 👍🏽
