⚠ DIFFERENT POWER ADAPTERS ⚠ Philips originally introduced the Cordless Power Flosser with a USB Type-A to USB Type-C charging cable. Following, what we believe to be reliability and safety issues with the original Type-C connector, the latest version of this model now has a different, 2 pin power connector built-in, rather than USB Type-C. Subsequently the power cable provided is now a USB Type-A to ‘small plug cable’ as Philips call it.. Product listings don’t necessarily make it very clear which one you are getting. In many instances, images of both charging ports are shown. The likelihood is you will get the new style power adapter rather than the Type-C connector. Part codes for the new variants include: HX3826/31, HX3826/33, HX3826/23, HX3826/21 & HX3826/24. Waterpik has also updated the Advanced in most regions of the world. Version 2.0. The main differences are: - The new version has a USB type A connector at the other end of the magnetic charging cable, rather than a 2 pin power adapter. - The new version uses a Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) rather than a Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery. - Claimed battery life increases from 1 to 4 weeks with charging times doubling from 4 to 2 weeks. I have both, once you get use to Philips is the best option, has more modes, more powerful, bigger water tank, quad stream technology that is really an improvement, on the other hand with Waterpik you have the brand

My Philips broke after 9 months I use my devices gently and even wipe them out after use and still didn't last

Longer run time both using it and between charges. Better battery tech. USB-C vs. proprietary charger which is a huge difference with a "travel" water flosser. Seems like a no brainer to me. Sonicare seems the better choice. I guess if you swivel the head a lot then maybe not.

I can't say for sure. Philips don't disclose the pressure of the water flow. I would say they are very comparable. The most powerful cordless model I know of is the Burst Water Flosser.

I know u said that the water pick was better but with the older water pick the head useto brack and gave up on me wole the new water pick come with all new heads including the ortho head But the philips come with 2 heads but is there more power with philips? For a better clean ?

We don't know the exact power/pressure of the Philips. It is comparable from my testing.

Hi Im slightly confused here. So the Power Flosser 3000 has a better battery, more universal charging (USB port), bigger water tank, and offers around the same clean in comparison to the Waterpik. Besides the price, is there any reason why you voted the Waterpik as being better? If both were priced the same, would you still choose the Waterpik?

Price is only one part of the equation. We probably would side with the Waterpik (just), if the price of the Sonicare was lower. This is because the Waterpik unit feels more secure in hand and rotating the nozzle is easier. As these are core features for daily use the impact more than price alone. Ultimately there isn't a great deal between them. Both do a good job and are more than good enough for use on a daily basis.

Most reviewers such as yourself choose the waterpik, but is it just for the grip and easily turning head? They don't sell waterpik in my country, so I don't think those selling points would be worth the hazzle. About the efficiency of the devices. Are they on the same level? I've had issues with my gums and the most important thing is that which one of these work for you gum health better?

To my knowledge there has been no clinical studies that put these side by side to confirm accurately which is the most effective. Theoretically they are comparable and in my own testing I was unable to determine any meaningful difference. In other words, both do a good job. I picked the Waterpik, because all things considered I think it is the better option, but that doesn't mean you have to select the same, providing you are aware of the differences and happy with the pros/cons. Given that Waterpik isn't available in your country, I think you will be well served by the Power Flosser.

Had my waterpik for about a year and now its weak as hell. Have to charge it after every use and there is still very little power

You you don't talk about what's the most important. How good are they in actually what they are designed for? Cleaning???? I don't give a f about charging type, which one cleans my teeth better. And you seem to be affiliated without disclosing it. I can't trust you.

In this comparison I haven't commented on their cleaning ability as they are comparable. There's no meaningful difference between them for most users. I couldn't say the Waterpik was better than the Sonicare or vice versa really. You might not be concerned about other features, but other people are.
