Personally having used both, I find the sonic brushes get between the spaces in your teeth far more effectively. The oscillating action of the oral-b misses the smaller gaps.

Oral B brushead has a slot or hole in it that lets in schmutz and gunk that coats the drive shaft and mold up as you brush over time.

This is the thing I don't like about oral B. The brush head has gears inside that builds up toothpaste and mold. So you have to rinse and replace the head frequently. I'm amazed mold can grow on toothpaste as it's supposed to be antibacterial. 🤯

Hey. Neither brand is paying the piper in this instance. This is one of the things that makes our channel unique. We've not received a single £/$ in money from the big brands to create our content. The most we have gotten is a sample of each brush, and the instances of this are low. We buy most of them ourselves. Here's links to our information pages that explain more. Its December and both are $39 on Amazon discount - leading towards sonic 4100 for soft bristle which i have manual toothbrushes. Aquasonic Black Series Ultra Whitening Toothbrush has sales of 116.000 so i wish to have a look at it too.

Sonicare brushes a little better but is less reliable than the Oral-B. It’s like comparing a BMW with a Lexus. A BMW performs better on the track and has a better interior but the Lexus just lasts forever and costs less to maintain.
@Oerger893 ай бұрын
Im a sufferer or gum recession and lately i've kept noticing that frontal top teeth keeps building up plaque just at the gumlines and the sonicare never managed to remove it unless i angled the bristles and jammed them in. According to my dentist's followups it was most probably made recession worse. Oral B had no issues what so ever.. Also there is some inevitable buildup on sonicare connection point that makes the toothbrush more noisy and become less vibrating..i dont have needled that are narrow enough to reach all the way. Just a headsup that sonicare might be a future hassle for you

Similar to me. I switched to sonic but my dentist said I've got more gum recession. Prescribed me stronger toothpaste and recommended I switch back to oral B

Having used a "regular" Oral B and a Sonicare, Sonicare is what I preferred in the end for the more gentle brushing they offer compared to Oral B. Oral B feels very aggressive during the time I used it where the Cross action brush head irritated my gums during the first 5 or so uses. This is clearly not the case with Sonicare where both me and my gums enjoyed it much more and I basically have no complains for the brushing and cleaning sensation of a Sonicare toothbrush. But then Oral B releases the io and since I have never used one I need to ask out of curiosity : Is the Oral B io more gentle with brushing to the point that it will remind me the brushing of a Sonicare or the io is as aggressive in brushing like a "regular" Oral B is ?
@ElectricTeeth4 ай бұрын
It's less aggressive than a 'regular' Oral-B, but doesn't feel like a Sonicare. Based on what you say, I'd stick to Sonicare.

Oral B IO has replaceable batteries, at least some of them. That is a HUGE difference. Also, as you said, it cleans better but is noisier. Also, there are 3rd party replacement heads now, so the head cost is about the same between all toothbrushes.
@jonfreeman96822 ай бұрын
I had a replaceable battery model and it leaked and inside rusts. If you get the ones with sealed battery they last a long time. Mine has lasted a decade though admittedly it doesn't hold a charge much anymore.

I don't think Sonicare would be much better here. Have you tried closing your mouth bit as you brush. As odd as that might sound, it can sometimes help.

Hello I'm going to purchase an oral b brush and I'm in between getting a genius x or io5 but I can't decide which one would you prefer
@ElectricTeeth22 күн бұрын
There isn't an easy answer here. iO5 is the 'nicer' brush all things considered. But brush heads are generally 2x the cost of those for the Genius X. The Genius X would likely work out cheaper. But, forced to choose, I would go with the iO5.

Hi there. Could you advise which would be the best purchase between the Sonicare 9000 diamond clean and the new Sonicare 7100, both are currently available for a similar price and the 7100 is a much more recent model with some newer tech. Thanks 👍🏼

I have both prestige and iq 10. Both are great. I notice prestige has a longer battery life and nice case but on the other side iq10 is beautiful in white and cleaning i think is better cos you apply a bit more pressure. The only thing in iq10 i feel is the thickness of the head or may be i didn’t use with that. I had prestige for more a year and iq 10 for just 2 days. May be cos of more pressure iq 10 can be more painful for some with sensitive tooth but mine is zircon all over and I don’t feel any pain. Witch one to consider best I don’t know yet but sonicare cleans more gentle i think. Iq10 has an advantage that lightning sensor is in top and you can see it very easy. Iq 10 cleans more aggressive in think i set on intensive + and i feel a lot of aggressive clean yes cleans perfectly but feel itchy on gums. Any way the standard daily clean is more than enough. But when tou see dentist for cleaning tooth stone you feel also a itchy gum. Iq cleans a lot better but for someone may be is too much. I like the way it looks iq10 in white but honestly if i have to keep only one i will stay with prestige cos its feel more luxurious and long battery life. Which Cleans Better? • If you want aggressive plaque removal and a dentist-like clean, the Oral-B iO Series 10 is likely the better choice. • If you prioritize gentle, effective cleaning for sensitive teeth and gums, the Sonicare Prestige 9900 is a better fit. share.icloud.com/photos/02eLNzNTLwEUcThLBQFLYhECg That’s my thoughts. But anyway the video is great😊 One more thing I forgot. The button on prestige is very well made i had several sonicare and always had a problem with the button actually this is not a button but works as it. This brush will last in future. Iq 10 is rubber and will get dirt easily and will fade in future. You have to very well maintain the brush but on prestige you dont have this problem all is smooth and no edges and wholes to get dirt. Thats it from my side.

The 7100 is newer, but there isn't any big difference in cleaning experience. The 9400 has the better app experience with real-time tracking. If you want the smart features, I would go with the 9400.
