What a coincidence, I just crashed my veteran at 45mph . I’m amazed how tough this wheel is. The wheel rolled about 100 feet and with every flip it broke a different part of the headlight and sending debris flying up which made for a spectacular sight. I don’t speed unless I’m the only person on the trail so no one was at risk of being hurt. My protective gear saved me except for small cuts on my fingers (fingerless wrist guard) and a small scrape on my elbow (elbow guard moved during impact). I’m glad you made this video because it helped ease some anxiety about taking it apart.

@euc-mercielago3 жыл бұрын
@@ElectricUnicycles Thanks! I could probably get away with just the complete roll cage and front headlight. But, if I need to take it apart I’ll replace the motor/rim/pedal hangers with the wider rim because I had dented the rim going up a sharp curb in another incident. Edit: Forgot to mention that the current rim is cracked not just dented but still holding air. Im not sure I can install the rim to the motor so that’s why I’m getting the motor w/ rim combo.

You can connect the batteries to the motherboard slowly, it is a connector XT90 anti-spark (with the green lines). There is a resistor at the beginning of the connector which limits the charging current of the capacitors and when pressed down this resistor is shorted
@ElectricUnicycles3 жыл бұрын
Good to know - thanks. I still like to stay with the "habit" of connecting them quickly.
@bubukis Жыл бұрын
@@ElectricUnicycles "Quickly" is not a right thing to do for this type of connector. When you connect it quickly - you just short the integrated resistor immediately, so the whole purpose of it is neglected: you still get a surge of over-current from the battery damaging it every time you connect this type of connector "quickly". While if you connect it first just up to a green line, wait a little bit (before the capacitors charge slowly through the integrated resistor), and only then connect it all the way to the end - there is no surge of current and your battery remains healthy...

Today I got a short circuit on the charging port of Sherman Max due to the metal charging port cover (was a very bad idea to upgrade the charging port covers). Now Sherman Max is not switching off and not balancing. On the motherboard blue and red lights are blinking. If unplug the batteries it will switch off in a few seconds, but after connecting the batteries back: the same issue (not switching off and not balancing). The wheel does not recognize the charger (no feedback from the wheel on both ports). The motor rotates by hand normally without any additional noise or resistance. Do you know what blinking blue and red lights on the motherboard mean? Should I replace the motherboard or there is an easier solution?
