Thanks for the feedback from the event. I have been planning on changing to an Elroq in 2026 so thank you for the little insights and i have owned a Yeti in the past so good to hear the Elroq reminded you of it.

They scrapped the Yeti because if you look at a new landrover defender you’ll see the resemblance, I much preferred the Yeti over any new Defender
@smithallan100Күн бұрын
@@danum.wheelz THE Yeti was fantastic especially as you could remove the rear seats and move them around half van half car. They replaced it with the Karoq which I also owned they are a very good car and a big seller for Skoda.

Great to hear the feedback on the event and that Skoda is listening to customers but not always able to provide what we are asking for (e.g. software updates and preheating). Great to hear some reasons/difficulties why they can't provide the changes. While this can be a bit technical for the majority of owners it is still good to hear for those that would like to know. Elroq looks good and will be interesting to see in the showroom when it gets there.

@@markthomas7104 they haven't given up hope on that. Definitely got the impression that Škoda engineers (hard and software) are continuing their long tradition of trying to overcome barriers with innovative solutions. Hopefully they succeed!

Skoda has created and desigend a fancy car again. Good work i liked the shape of the Elroq. For me as an Oldtimer "user" with just a iV60 it was a interesting experience with the 85er models as well as the RS

Sounds like a great event. Well done for getting an invite. If Elroq keeps the interior (maybe even add a few buttons?) it will be perfect, on the basis if it ain't broke, don't fix it. (My) Enyaq 60 is brilliant at what it does, but it's quite big so a new model that's slightly smaller would be ideal for my next EV. You mentioned handling - after a dry spell where I've been a very good boy I had occasion to have a bit of fun with a very quick Cupra on twisty roads and despite it's weight the Enyaq handles amazingly well at speed, very planted and responsive. I say that as the owner of a Boxster so it's fair praise - if Elroq is better I'm sold. I can't help thinking VW made a massive mistake with the ID range and Skoda have simply got it right with their offerings. It's no contest.

@@BlackBuck777 we were there on a horrible weekend with flooding all over the country and residents being evacuated, so the track wasn't dry, although it wasn't raining while we were testing the car. I did it back to back with an enyaq RS and the elroq was definitely more nimble. If I hadn't just bought a new Enyaq I would have been in the queue to order an elroq. Unless I can persuade @skoda to give me an excellent deal 🤣

@@stefan2796 yes, the enyaq is too big for many so a smaller option should do well. It really did remind me of the yeti!

The Elroq looks like an SUV-styled ID3 to me. If so it should be good as the ID3 is a great package. If they allow a roof rack and put a slightly longer boot on it (like Enyaq vs ID4) that'd be great. The boot in your video looked midway between an ID3 and id4 to me. Software 5 in VW has a few new features, from memory they include chat gtp in the voice control and a remote parking feature (parking from the app with no one in the car). Battery Life has tested them. I'm sure Skoda will be the same.
@enyaq_gormКүн бұрын
@@simondehaas8784 I agree. I have chat gpt in my 4.0 car. The software isn't what allowed the remote locking, it's the ICAS 5 hardware. They are looking at whether they can enable it on cars with ICAS 4 like I mentioned in the video.
