Nice demo. I love the sound of the Good Vibes going into the dirty amp. I'm gonna have to add that to my ever-growing list of pedals for me to buy

Thanks for this video! I thought the pedal sounded odd at first because past about 11 oclock the intensity sounds like an on/off switch. Im going to adjust the trim pot. Techs on EHX forum will tell not to mess with the trim pot but im sure it wont harm it one bit. Its simply a delay control. ;)

use the original power supply,and the ehx expression pedal,to gain the best sound,the ehx expression pedal takes the speed way below factory preset,and thickens the intensity right up,and gives excellent vibrato,as heard on HEY BABY...run it at 9.6 for best results.

Great pedal I love mine although I do wish it didn't change the tone so much of the what goes into it and was soley just the effect.

I wonder how many of my pedals have trim pots that i have'nt checked! Cool pedal, gotta try one! My JHS unicorn is cool too! What else? Rotovibe, or Deja vibe?
@PedalScience7 ай бұрын
Haven't tried those two... yep, trimpots are the goods

The good vibes does have lamp photocell inside

yeh I think Josh Smith mentioned it in his Uni-Vibe 101 video

Let me know man...what is the reason or advantage of adjusting the trimpot? Thank you
@PedalScience4 жыл бұрын
It mainly alters the waveshape / maximum depth available
@VinnieBlues14 жыл бұрын
@@PedalScience oh i get it already ... you can make it sound like a phaser (softer and not as radical, as it comes from the factory). I have this pedal and I like it, but I always played with a Rotovibe and I was used to the lighter sound ... I think with a little patience I can make my GV less heavy. TYSVM (i'll try)

Can doing this whole the pedal is plugged in shock you?

only 9v max, so no not really! (be careful with an original uni vibe of course)

i was gonna do this but my good vibes is missing the adjustable internal trimpot
@PedalScience Жыл бұрын
Really?? That is quite odd, perhaps a different circuit revision I guess 🤔

@@PedalScience yeah that sounds right, mine had 2015 on the circuit board instead of 2014

@@PedalScience Hi, i just checked my pedal again and i saw a grey box with a brass screw on it next to a spot on the board that says TRIM1 do you know if that is the trimpot? thank you

Hey man ... just out of curiosity ... I couldn't see it in the video ... Does the Good Vibes Pedal really use photocells like the original vibe?

can i power the good vibes with 'normal' 9v power supply?
@PedalScience3 жыл бұрын
It is quite picky, EHX include a power supply with it but you could try a regular supply. Another commenter did report it sounding better with the original supply.
@HendryWong3243 жыл бұрын
@@PedalScience thanks, mate!\m/ this pedal sound pretty good. i think it can be more popular if it operate with 'normal' power supply. cheers!
@AdamCox20103 ай бұрын
NO! use a 9.6 EHX to get the full effect.
@Ambientnauts2 ай бұрын
@@AdamCox2010 Why would that be? A fresh 9volt battery outputs 9.6 yes, but overtime it loses it's output before failing. Can you really hear a difference? My assumption could be wrong. Sincerely willing to be educated on this.

9.6

Awesome demo! Been looking at one of these for a while and think this just sold me! Just asking for a clarification on the trim pot adjustment, does what you did necessarily change to the pedal? I see you said in another comment about wavelength and depth, would you care to go a little more in depth? Sorry im a bit new to this but would love this pedal if I can achieve like you said in the video a slower vibe speed to pass as a phase sound. I really dont enjoy the fast worbles so they wouldnt be that useful to me anyway lol. Thank you again!!
@PedalScience3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately the speed/rate is only adjustable with the speed knob; the trimpot alters the depth / waveshape I believe
