Great video! The shock knife is a great tool for installing the fear factor back into the knife.

All techniques and practitioners need to performed under pressure testing - free sparring. That is why boxing, wrestling, judo are so effective. Not saying this isn't effective, but it is very hard to go full (or almost full) contact safely. The Dog Brothers do a pretty good job of weapons sparring in a relatively safe environment.
@urjnlegend3 жыл бұрын
This is a demonstration of the techniques. Sparring is essential for exp and practice as well, but the problem is most martial arts are extremely dangerous to do "too freely". When you're teaching someone to dislocate an attackers knee, you can't really have two students fucking each other up like that. Boxing is great, but it leaves alot exposed to a fighter trained to use their legs or grapple. All martial arts must be learned to be an effective, well rounded person/fighter.

@@urjnlegend exactly, you just don't want to punch your student into the kidney with full force.

Flow drills and nice slow feeds with very discreet angles of attack. I agree with M S's comment. The teacher is skilled, but the main point of Electro Shock knife training is for unrehearsed, full speed attacks. Is this the same teacher that I saw a few years ago wearing a gi and hakama in an 'Introducing Aiki Jujutsu to Brunei Video' or similar video on KZbin?

Silat it actually from Arabic language means connection in other words penchak silat penchak means movements from south asian language especially malay ppl. So altogether connection to make movement like footwork and arm movement to make a form of self defence

@@achmada9338 I tried to translate SIlat to arabic and this came back الفنون العسكرية. Doesn't sound like Silat in arabic to me! 🤣 Also, I don't think you know what pencak means in Malay. Even in urdu the pronunciation is پینکاک and I don't think it has the same meaning as in Malay. And when I translate pencak to hindi it returned painchak and when I translate painchak to english it means quintet!🤣Take my advice to heart, stop embarrassing yourself with your stupidity! 🤣

Good idea. However, this shock knife should probably be used in free sparring, for a better training. My point is, if this shock knife is used in free sparring, the participants will get shocked, I don't care who you are.

They use it for sparring too of course, in silat usually we use the real knife or blade in training, sparring and some extra knowledge

I'd say yes I have used such skills unfree sparring to great effect. There are differences tho obviously because you don't let the other person flow with you you interrupt and finish. Sometimes you can have a little bit of a dance with 2 people who are good both trying to cut the other persons arms before moving in for the kill.

What kind of retarded fight was that? Why would you ever grapple against a man who has a knife? Maybe it make sense if it was fighting for the knife modern combat army whatsoever, but in reality especially in a machete fight, that would not happen, especially if the attacker is seriously trying to kill you, what stopping him from bringing his friend to attack you together or make him hide first to sneak attack you?
@urjnlegend3 жыл бұрын
@@Ashpkfmdmdmdmd so the point of this is how to deal with a knife attacker in a head on situation. If you could not see the benefit of these techniques, I don't know what to tell you.

@@urjnlegend i assume you mean jon fitch video... I can see where two opponents will more or less grapple on each other to get their hands on the only knife on the scene. But to only grapple and not... You know actually try to murder each other, punch the dude, inflicting harm in any way Is no different than saying a tug of war is how people fight on the street. Not saying the training is retarded. Thats on me my bad. But to name the video knife fight and to use the video as a reference on how knife fight will start and how it will end is beyond retard.
