🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:05 ⚙️ *Electrochemical Machining (ECM) is used for mass production to remove metal from electrically conductive materials that are hard to machine conventionally.* 00:48 🔄 *In ECM, material removal occurs at the atomic level between anode and cathode electrodes immersed in an electrolyte, resulting in a mirror-finished surface.* 02:25 🔧 *ECM setup includes a power supply, electrolyte, tool, workpiece, and various components for fluid circulation, filtration, and sludge management.* 04:03 🛠️ *The ECM process involves assembling the workpiece, immersing it with the tool in electrolyte, applying a potential difference, and advancing the tool to remove material, producing excellent surface finish.* 04:59 ✔️ *ECM is applied in dye sinking, profiling, contouring, drilling, grinding, tree planning, and micro-machining, offering advantages like negligible tool wear and the ability to produce complex parts with excellent surface finish.* 05:27 ⚠️ *Disadvantages of ECM include the risk of corrosion, limited to electrically conductive materials, high power consumption, and a high initial investment cost.* Made with HARPA AI

General information for the shool children, but not a practical info. here. How about telling us about the voltage and Amperage needed, The work gap between workpiece and the tool/cathode. Is there all the time same gap or you use larger gap for roughing(as it appears, that roughing and finishing methodology is employed). On the average, what is the gap settings and voltage/Amperage and electrolyte pressure needed for rough or finish operation? What is the material removal rate, comparing to EDM. What materials can be and are used for the tool (Graphite or Copper-both electoconductive, but very soft).

Yes, you are right these videos contain very basic information I have created this video for students who face difficulty in understanding the basic concepts of machining processes... In future, as you said I will make videos with detailed information containing all the practical knowledge...

These videos are amazing but would be way better if you just narrated them yourself.
