We used RedCat and OxAn RedCat means REDuctions happens at the CAThode and OXidation happens at the ANode❤

Why was Copper ( CU) in our galvanic cell being reduced yet in the 4B table it is below zinc and should have been oxidising ( giving out electrons)?

Sir, how did you know which copper to choose from on the table? There is another copper with 0,16V as it’s voltage, so why won’t you use that?

At 1:39 he says that the system will react by "taking the BEST oxidiser and the BEST reducer". So technically yes the copper with 0.16V is a possible reaction, in this system it will not happen, because the copper sir showed is a better oxidising agent (you see the arrow on the left side, pointing down). So in any system with multiple possible half reactions in a cell, the half reaction that is the BEST oxidiser or BEST reducer will always happen over the rest. i hope this helps :)
