I suggest to all my friends preparing for gate to see this channel for EDC. Best explination I have seen till date.👌

Honestly, this is the best lecture ever, I am impressed that all the important information about energy band can be delivered to us in 10 min.

Thank you sir, i have an doubt in bond model due to covalent bond all si outermost shell has 8 electrons(4 from neighbour and four from itself) it means all 8 energy states are filled.. but in band model how the 4n states become empty??
@shubhambhandari40195 жыл бұрын
How 4N is is produced. I got the logic of 4n/8n(excited state) But not getting ground state 4n 6:35
@251278vamsi5 жыл бұрын
Sp3 hydridization makes 4 orbital of which 2 orbitals get filled completely. Filled levels tend to lower their energies and the unfilled states tend to rise their energy

3:40 they are not splitting because electrons in the same orbital number feel each other, but because electrons in the same exact orbitals of different atoms feel each other, right!? :)
@sarvo08 жыл бұрын
can somebody elaborate how 4N/4N and 0N/4N took place at 6:35.....????????????
@rameshkamulla78407 жыл бұрын
As inter atomic space decreases both 3s and 3p merges to and then divides at that point lower 4N energy states will be completely occupied and upper 4N states will be complelty empty so 0/4N..

No electrons are present in the conduction band(0/4n) then how it is above the VB in the graph ,as electrons are absent its electron energy should be less than valance band electron energy ,thank u in advance
@mangeshkumar19014 жыл бұрын
Dear ,let me clear our concept first..oribital where electrons are present and is stable have less energy ..so valance band electrons have less energy and hence are more stable.whereas conduction band electrons are mostly in excited state that's why we call them free electrons
