I soldered a 9v battery into mine no problem and the flys make a hell of a crack

Rubber bands for the handle might be better than tape. . . if you've got that saved stash of bands from produce and such. Personal preference maybe. I've done the foam things with a flashlight and 18650. Foam works around the 18650; the fake battery was tougher. I used a burned off strip of aluminum can and foam for the "fake battery". It worked at first and then the foam started compressing and contact wasn't good anymore. Need something stiffer, like cardboard. Also, if you have some copper wire, that is better than aluminum, but aluminum is a handy if you drink cans and don't have any copper around. Aluminum is more conductive than iron, at least. With the price of copper these days, I always cut off the cords before I throw away dead electric devices, so that's a better choice. A whole new meaning for "cutting the cord".

Lots of value in this comment, thanks for sharing! I'm sure you can make a nice adapter with 3d printing and some metal/wires like you mentioned.

ditch the socket and put another 3.7 volt in there. i like the idea of wrapping the foam around the batterie 👍

cereal dust I like the idea! I've learned a lot about circuitry (from Ave mainly) and need to take a look at what I fried so I can upgrade those components to a mega swatter

you ll fry the circuit board?

"Alkaline batteries are heavy not allowing for a good swing" Lol... Bugs don't stand a chance in an age when electric flyswatters need to be upfraded like this.

Someone used two 4.2v batteries and it significantly increased the power.

Oh man, mine uses AA batteries. I should make a remote battery pack for C or D cell batteries that could clip to my belt loop. You can also make a fake battery from aluminum foil.

How?

I think it would be better to buy a 18650 battery holder, glue it into the battery compartment and solder the wires to the original battery terminals

Raul failed shortly after this video was filled, sadly

then you really need to pull the video these things are only built down to a price

You should have put two 18650 in series if one is 3.7 volts then two in series would be 7.4 volts, now you have a bug killer

Gary West if the swatter could handle it, the flies would probably be vaporized
@steggc856 жыл бұрын
It can handle it for a few seconds, I did it years ago

he can just buy two 32600 batteries, they are the same exact dimensions as a d cell so you can imagine they are a hell of alot better than 18650 i been using some 26650s and man those sons of bitches really got the juice. well im gonna try to put my 14500s in mine see if it will go from 3v to 8.4 okay

6000mAh is a fake, your batt have ~100mah . real ultrafire 3000mAh max.

True, Ultrafire are the worst. When i drain tested my Ultrafire 18650 (which said 22 Wh [6000 mAh]), it given 0.7 Wh [200 mAh] only !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All other brands use batteries from the below base brands, Panasonic, LG, Sanyo, Samsung etc... so do get from them for exact Wh [mAh] energy rating.
