You are awesome at explaining electrical concepts dude... Video request... I've heard Clive and Dave (EEVblog) talk about +12v and -12v (and 5v, 3.3v etc) when dealing with power for computers. Could you do a vid describing what the difference is, and why negative voltage is a thing?

Ok! I might do a video sometime in the future where I modify a computer power supply to produce a different voltage, and I will explain the different types of power.

Nice video, but that VFD amplifier has piqued my interest! I'm guessing it's kind of like the Korg Nutube, with the VFD set up as kind of a triode (I mean, a VFD is kind of a bunch of triodes all sharing a common cathode/heater). I would love to see some more info on that!
@TannerTech3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, that VFD amp was a fun build a while back. I made a video about my build process of it. I tied all the grids and all the anodes together. It works very well with low currents(as in a preamp) but I made the mistake of trying to drive a speaker with it. The phosphorus coating on the anode has a high resistance. I am thinking about redoing it with a power tube on the output.

@@TannerTech Nice to hear. I do not have the self discipline to do something like this at home. And me, I guess I am ok. Do you have an idea why you have 23k subs and 545 views? There should be so much more views. I have a guess, but I might not know all the details about your channel.

Holy crap I want to be like you. Listen, your videos could have a major jump in quality if you spend a little time to edit your videos. The way you are speaking is perfectly fine (I do the same) but if you cut out the little pauses between phrases it would be way way better and give your channel a boost. Also, zooming in a little bit on your face when you same something important is a key part of editing as well. You barley notice it, but it adds a visual effect that is great. Respond if you want my to give more explanation, keep up the great content.

Thanks for the advice! I would love some more explanation, I am always happy to see how I can improve.

@@TannerTech ok so if you watch any videos on KZbin, then most likely there is someone talking in-front of a camera. Unless you talk with no pauses (very fast and smooth) you have to add jump cuts. If you pay attention, in most KZbin videos there are dozens of cuts between phrases and sentences that make it flow a lot better. Also, very very slight zoom in’s on your face will make it much more attention grabbing towards the watcher, but only their subconscious notices. Watch some of my vids and you will see what I mean. (They are cringe)

And the great thing about it is you never have to say stuff first try. You could literally go “hey guys welcome back to another video” and then wait 10 seconds while you think of what to say next knowing you can just cut it out. Then say “today blablabla” and if you mess up just say it again!
