Wow great finish and patina. Are you still using the plating solution you outlined in vids 3 years ago?
@Cloakfiend2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yep same one. Ill do another little vid showing the package i buy so you can have a go to. I made some nice inca stlye ancient planes. Came out wierd due to the leveler being ruined from evaporation!

@@Cloakfiend That would be great. I've got some prints I'd love to try plating.

Nice results, I’m just getting into electroforming i hope to get the same finish as you one day
@Cloakfiend Жыл бұрын
I also electroformed some smaller items. Im going to do an electroforming tutorial eventually if i can recover from my annioying long covid. Spraying the conductive coating is in my opiinion essential for a smooth finish.

@@Cloakfiendyeah I’ve got a airbrush and copper conductive paint but getting a nice even coating is tricky without blocking the nozzle. or being too thin that you need lots of coats of paint😢
@Cloakfiend Жыл бұрын
@@spongeknock7387 its very easy when you know how!!! But yes you cant lay it on too thin with some paint. Good graphite sprays have unfortunately tripled in price since this electric revolution. It sucks as i now pay way more when it was pretty cheap before.

Very practical 👌

It's super cool, how did you do that?

Thanks! Ill wanna tell everyone about my techniques but people have approached me to simply monetise it for themselves so once i have more subscribers ill just tell my super easy method for free here. Stay tuned! Its a method of electroforming.

@@Cloakfiend i'm really curious how you created a conductive layer on the plastic. I would like to plate some print, I thought I would use a graphite spray (GRAPHIT 33) or some kind of metal powder and melt it to the print, but i haven't done nothing yet.
@Cloakfiend3 жыл бұрын
@@alexlux147 you dont need to melt anything. That graphite spray is ok. You can also use shielding sprays that conduct like zinc and copper. I have a unique method of application Ive not seen before though.
